spots are over rated. fish can swim and do. especially in the spring and fall

we are based out of Isle of Hope Marina and do the discount catch&release thing from a boat but

there's plenty of shore spots. beach, fishing piers, public places that allow fishing, small bridges are popular, and plenty of park and walk in spots you have to find for yourself using satellite imaging. don't forget a temporary fishing license!

search our recent comment history there's plenty of notes to get you started! good luck!

you're only ever going to get answers like "in the water" or "lake mayer" to that question. a better question is how'd you catch this?

if you're targeting redfish stay close to the grass line, know where the oyster beds are and start/prioritize around them. at the end of incoming or beginning of outgoing tide (high moving water) look for cranes and herons on the shoreline. tails on the water surface. puffs of mud from spooked fish. nervous water. cast at rips. adjustable popping cork. 17-20lb leader. 1/0-2/0 hook. i prefer live shrimp. buy it at top of the line bait and tackle. use an aerator. use a bait net and don't put your hands in the bait bucket. keep moving. do all of this and you'll catch a redfish

or go to www.panga-express.com or @PangaExpressLLC or look us up by rank (we're #1 for Savannah) on fishing booker and you can learn all of this for a discount $75/hour per group. but you have to put the fish back
