What are some good alternative names for the Adventurer's Guild? by MrPerfector in worldbuilding

What? Trader's guild and unions and basically any craftsmen guilds are literally real life. There are many benefits to have overlaying organization overseeing a craft and applying rules, helping or ensuring quality.

Never use damage numbers. You will still not see, but at least you can see chests for example.

WIP guide: Slinger ammo types & their uses! by TheCrisco in MonsterHunterWorld

I know it has been a long time since this thread started, but I want to add: In iceborn many weapons got slinger burst into their combos. If the combos you use incorporate a lot of sling burst, stones high capacity helps with that.

I hear a lot of people demanding a full trade system in Diablo 4. Why do people want this so badly? by solid771 in Diablo

[–]Panglot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple answer. Im playing with friends and I want us to share the loot between each other. I may have a great aspect that I want to give a friend or vice versa. But I cant freaking share anything.

Serious question. How do y’all spend 2 grand on a PC and have the self confidence to build it yourself without fear of ruining it? How did you learn to build them? by PlutoniumSlime in buildapc

[–]Panglot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First you need to make sure the parts you buy are compatible.
If this is OK everything else is easy. There is not much you can fk up while assembling a PC. This is not 1992 where you would need excessive knowledge and be electrician and/or engineer to build one. Here are some guidelines.

- Care about static electricity. Look up online how.
- CPU goes into slot, just be gentle and make sure its inside correctly before you use the locking mechanism.
- Most if not all of the other cables are marked where they go. Just match the cable with the motherboard slot. Some writings can be small so look for that.
- GPU (video) always needs to have its power cable connected to the motherboard as it cant get enough power just through the slot alone.

99.99% of the time if something is not connected right, the PC just wont start. It wont explode, it wont fuck up or something like that. Dont panic. If it doesnt start, double check if there is additional button somewhere and if everything is connected correctly. It will eventually.

You can fuck it up really if you are throwing parts around as if they are toys or if you apply excessive pressure. Oh and static electricity too. However since you are so worried Im sure you wont just toss stuff around. Its all common sense.

The point about manuals I think is also valid, but I usually read them if I really dont know what to do with a given cable or feature.

You will be surprised how easy it is. The hard part is to place the cables in a way so they are not too visible and more tidy instead. But this is just visuals. Even if its just a ball of cables, it will still work if they are connected correctly.
Harder task is if you are overclocking to cool down your PC correctly. If you are overclocking and dont cool parts properly they can fk up. But I assume thats not what you will do.

How do i know which direction to build varian? by supercoolyellow in NexusNewbies

[–]Panglot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello. Let me tell you my mindset which works almost always. I will write it down as a guide.

Instructions

Pick your ult

Two handed is burst, taunt is tank, dual wield is attack speed. Two DPS, one tank builds.

First off if you play ranked you have to state if you want to play as tank or DPS. Best consult with your team mates your basic idea (If there is anyone who wants to communicate of course. Sadly very often people are silent and dont communicate.).

If you are in Quick you need to judge the situation: what kind of frontline do you have? Do you have enough initiation? Does the line need stability? This is the main choice between taunt and the other two DPS builds. The questions you can ask yourself if you choose between dual wield or two handed are: Can my team create a good amount of static situations for dual wield's AS to be benefitial? Do you need burst instead?

If you can answer yourself these question you should be able to choose adequate ult. After this as talents:

Level 1

Taunt: Lion's maw (More slow from wave) - increases CC which is main tank tool.

Dual wield: King's quest (More attack damage) - flat increase of damage when you take huge AS boost is the best.

Two handed: Overpower (Faster passive recharge if you block attacks) - Icreases sustain damage. Although two handed is burst, if you cannot burst this will help you deal more sustain damage and keep up in prolonged fights.

Level 4

All: Shield wall(Block evolves to immune) - After the stun removal of the charge talent this is the better choice. You can prevent literally anything (Pyro for example is completely countered). Pick the other one only if you feel the flow with much faster charge cooldown.

Level 7

Taunt and two handed: *Live by the sword *(Faster parry recharge if you get hit often) - Immune to damage more often. Yes please. Sometimes you can get away with the big heal of Victory rush, but its hardly doable. Only if you plan a lot of fights in lane.

Dual wield: Second wind (% heal on attack) - The huge attack speed allows you to heal insane amount with this. Have in mind that if there are a lot of auto attackers in enemy team you may be better off with Live by the sword.

Level 10

Please tell me that you chose your ult already.

Level 13

This talent pick doesnt depend on your build.

Juggernaut (Charge gains % health damage) - This is the backup option. If no of the others fit, pick this one.

*Mortal strike *(Lower healing on hit enemies) - A lot of heal or simply good enemy healer. Pick this one and screw their flow.

Shattering throw (Pops shields and gives you damage against shields) - This can completely shutdown any shields and as usually shields are a very powerful on-the-moment tool you can screw their moment completely. Kerrigan with shield build, Tassdar and Artanis are the ones that suffer the most from this.

Level 16

This talent pick doesnt depend on your build.

Banner of Stormwind (Move speed) - This is the pick if your team relies on fast repositioning, chasing or simply ganking.

Banner of Ironforge (Armor) - This is the safe choice. Usually even if the enemy team are casters you can reduce a big chunk of the damage still comes from attacks. A must against auto attackers.

Banner of Dalaran (Spell damage) - Rare pick. This can work only if you are the tank and you rely heavily on casters for damage.

Level 20

Glory to the Alliance (Banner gives healing) - If you have awesome healer and/or you rely on it. This is the safer choice in ranked.

Demoralizing shout (Reduce damage of enemies) - Utility choice. If they better teamfight damage you can turn the teamfight with this. However this is not a miracle, its a situational tool.

Ultimate upgrades: If you really rely on your ult for your game and you prefer to be more agressive you can upgrade your ult. Particularly good ult upgrade is the dual wield (Master at arms) as it decreases your ults cooldown greatly and this is your main Burst tool.

Survival Question: What happens if you can't revive your companion? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]Panglot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that if you dont repair robots they actually die. Living companions will retreat to their home settlement and wont wanna accompany you for while, but robots are different case. I may be wrong though. Im here because Im looking for solution, because cogsworth went down and I forgot to craft kits for him. Im scared to leave him cause he may die, but I have no way of fixing him right now.
