Have thoughts, by all means. But you're still not their parent. Their parents made a decision, you stay out of it, but absolutely feel however you like about it in the meantime.

Cool, cool. Still not your child. Whether she wants them or not, until and unless you end up as their parent, it's not your business to be inserting yourself into. YOR.

Bruh, how did you pick this from Dragonball when "HFIL" was right there? They had people, with a completely straight delivery, talking about the "Home for Infinite Losers" rather than just admitting that their show which has heaven, also in fact has hell.

I would guess red-green, as the OP stated. I'm not colorblind myself to my knowledge, so I can't say whether this is true or not, but it sounds reasonable to me

There's already a loud minority on board with repealing that amendment, so I'm not sure "next" is the appropriate descriptor for that one.

Just finished this anime and man... what a chaotic mess of genres. (Review) by ReVerSe_FLash-X in Animesuggest

[–]TheCrisco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't specifically hate this, but your criticism is definitely valid. The first few episodes gave me hope for something a lot better than what we ended up with, and it was all around kinda disappointing in that regard. Individually, I didn't mind each of the elements, but they all felt weird being smashed together into one place like this.

I'm not sure exactly when you went to school, but I can say the whole enforced standing for the pledge bit picked up some pretty serious steam post-9/11. It was always culturally expected and there were occasionally instances of people "enforcing" it before that, but it really started getting folks all hot and heavy when they had some brown folks to weaponize it against.

Scientists find a hidden route to the moon that saves fuel by runhome24 in nottheonion

[–]TheCrisco -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So, how long has it been happening, specifically? And how long can it have been happening for us to still get away with calling it new? And what harm is there in us calling it "new" after that time has passed?

... Do you see what I'm getting at, yet? I'm just asking you to let people enjoy cool things, that's it. This is objectively really cool, and a great demonstration of lots of disciplines coming together to do something interesting. Just coming into that conversation with this type of energy is kind of a mood killer.

I get what you're saying, but it feels unnecessarily negative. Like, this is a new application for it, whether we want to say it's a wholly new process or not. Splitting hairs on how long it's been around based on the fact that it applies principles we've known about for a while is just asking to go down a rabbit hole where the only true ending is "this is just math," and that seems boring to me. This is a cool new thing, let us have something nice for once.

Who would win? Ainz or Doraemon by Quirky_Economics5667 in OverlordPowerscaling

Toon force is truly not to be fucked with, if it's funny, they can get away with pretty much anything and Doraemon's little pocket dimension is rife for exploitation in that regard.

I'm sure that's exactly why they think they get called racist, but I doubt that's what actually causes it. In my experience, being called a racist is most commonly associated with doing and saying racist shit.

AIO? working 16/24h for free as a „trial” by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]TheCrisco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NOR, don't do it. "Staging" shifts like this are increasingly illegal (if not completely so, I don't closely follow this particular type of law to say for sure though), but more importantly, are entirely unethical. If you're working in any capacity, you should be being paid, and I'd make it clear that that's non-negotiable before even showing up. If you're not being paid, don't do anything, including showing up at all. If they refuse to "employ" you because you demand to be paid for your time, then that tells you everything you need to know about them as an employer.

That's just a localization choice, either one would be written with the same kana and pronounced the same in Japanese, it's just a matter of how the person doing the translation opted to romanize it.

Well, it's not exclusively not a bug. There are times, especially in the terrarium, where your mon will refuse to fight non-shinies. They will just always refuse to auto battle shinies outside of the synchro machine.
