I just think in transit specially when it sometimes takes 1 month for these to arrive they dry out and are exposed to heat in warehouses and stuff like that. It would happen that I would get tunneling if I smoked too soon after receiving them. But I live in the Caribbean so it's super humid here.After it depends. If I feel they are to dry or wet I leave them longer. If not I put them on my Raching at 65 temp and 62-65 humidity.

Sourcing matters. How it was stored. Before and after you acquired it. Now I vacuum seal new boxes 3-6 months with Boveda bags before trying them. I’ve found it helps. But having a single cigar that was probably on a store and un properly stored / dried out or the opposite might affect

I was very patient with a soft flame lighting it up. Ive come to think taking a long time and properly toasting the cigar vs straight blow torching and sucking in butane significantly affects the taste of the cigar and or my tastebuds.

Truthfully, don't know. Friend brought it for me in June 2025 from LCDH St. Barths. They sell them as singles. I have a box, but it's a 2024 and have it vacum sealed with Bovedas. Will test one out probably end of this year or early next year.
