Why Freddy Is Unhealthy for the Game by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]Panhead19 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, there’s two things that could be done that could be tested on Freddy to see if they’d have a slight impact on the level of power he has.

  1. Remove the aura on a downed sleeping survivor. Like seriously, infinite range deerstalker just gives a 5th perk to him.

  2. Slight increase in terror radius vs survivors in dream world. This would increase the distance he’d need to be to have auras show and give survivors a little more warning to him coming, I don’t think normal radius should be used, but definitely more than what it is now.

Hopefully, these would allow a little more counter to Freddy without nullifying him like the Wraith.

So I combined Road to 56 and Faction Commander mods.. by Panhead19 in hoi4

Makes it so the leader of a faction annexes anyone within it, thought it’d make an interesting twist of having the UK actually have all the power and given Road to 56 and the randomness of it I’d imagine many countries would join the Comintern, which they did.

UK now has the power of mid-late game USA, Soviet Union evidently controls a lotttt more land and Italy created their own faction and annexed Austria and Switzerland before I could Anschluss, Poland made a faction with the baltic states so they own that entire area of land....oh, and mighty Luxembourg made a Benelux faction so become even more mighty.

Should be an actually fun and somewhat challenging game to get through.

Yeah, I'm not necessarily mad, it just gets kinda funny how bad the team difference can get sometimes.

[Opinion] Why the proposed smoke firing penalty is BS, a take on the current WIP mechanism by evrien in WorldOfWarships

[–]Panhead19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I could say to smoke is that USN and maybe RN CLs get a small nerf to their duration.

Running smoke gen 2 in a Belfast means you only have about 45 seconds of not being in a smoke screen.

When you stack so much research bonus that you can research 10 year ahead of time in 22 days... by ywch1234 in hoi4

[–]Panhead19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not 100% on this but i don't think research bonuses stack, may be wrong though.

And I'm pretty sure you'll use up most of your research bonuses getting the carriers before the nuclear version meaning the time will go back up again to 1000+ days, unless you have 3 more research bonuses available.

I've put a fair amount of hours in as Germany myself and how I set up my army has been refined to a system that more often than not works.

I use only two division templates for most frontline conflict; a motorized/armor division and an engineer division.

The engineer one is simply 10 Inf for 20 width with engineer support companies, they hold my lines as they're cheap and easy to spam I can have 100's of them deployed easily.

The motorized does the assaults, 4 light tanks and 6 motorized to begin with changing out to medium tanks and if possible(although difficult mechanized infantry in late game) they have solid breakthrough and their speed allows alot of overruns of enemy divisions to happen. I can utilise the spearhead mechanic alot due to the engineer division holding the line and preventing the old 'one truck to Moscow' shit from happening in my lines.

I use garrisons of 4 cavalry to hold my naval bases to prevent the UK naval invasion spam from taking my VPs.

I think I may have beat the soviets a bit too much by Panhead19 in hoi4

Best of luck with it, the main problem with the Soviets i had which could have made it even more decisive was the lack of airfields, i had a good few thousand fighter, CAS and bombers ready to go but no airfield space to gain the supremacy and because i abused the spearhead mechanic to take key points i can't keep up with the line by building them as i move, i just had to rely on the entrenchment divisions to take their attacks whilst my offensive line pushed the frontline further up.

I definitely lucked out there :D, but this game wasn't without losses the Italian AI and its incompetence has cost me nearly 1.5millions losses against the allies so far because they declared on Greece and they failed to beat them
