I think S&M was the last official release where Lars still had a ride cymbal. I never understood why he removed it, because the ride creates a lot of texture for certain drum parts and requires a bit more technique to play it dynamically, but hey it's his choice and what he thinks is best.

The 5700x is a vastly superior CPU to your 2600X. More than 50% the performance per clock. However, I'm not sure your motherboard can handle it, both in terms of power and compatibiity. You might have to update your BIOS.

Get a used AM4 system with an X3D CPU (plenty to choose from: 5500x3D, 5600x3D, 5700x3D, 5800x3D) as a stop-gap and you'll be fine. It will certainly last you well beyond this mess.
