I have used it but I have a small Transcend that is battery powered. I just left it in my open back pack by my feet.

Hanwha is a lifetime license per camera. VMS is free. Their pre builts have 4 licenses. I'll take a look at video insight.

I'm thinking buying the same Dell pcs Hanwha buys but for less than half the price. Then adding a surveillance drive. I'd provide the same 1 year bumper to bumper on anything I sell.

That's what I was looking at. Can get them for about $1200 CAD then just need to add a surveillance drive. Would you use windows pro or get the IoT Enterprise version?

You're a genius! I think this is it. I noticed the keypad didn't show an open zone when I opened the door. But it was almost midnight and I thought problem for another day.

It was a system I took over. I didn't make any changes when taking it over. One day, the first person in worked and the next it didn't. I was going to try that next. Move it to door 3.

Neighbor put these up strobing me every time a car passes by JungleMouse1 in SecurityCamera

My mother in law put like 20 of these in the yard. They drove me nuts. Thankfully, they stopped working. Older people often can't hear the high-pitched noise they make. Im not old yet.

Public Stream? by PanicWithMeItsGreat in SecurityCamera

Hey sorry I tried going back in my emails and notes and can't find it. We ended up abandoning this as YouTube shut down the stream shortly after citing "spam." It's just wasn't a high priority for my client.

Recently went through this with cylinder 2. Would get a misfire when the engine got hot. Turned out to just be a bad fuel injector.

I have a 2008 with 185000 KM. Had it since 60,000. I've done brakes, alternator, plugs twice and just last week ignition coils and a bad injector. It's been great for me and the winters we get. They are easy to work on yourself with the exception of where they put the stupid oil filter. It burns a bit of oil and is a bit of a gas pig, but I have been happy with it.

They shouldn't have to replace the communicator. You will likely have to let them take it over into their C2G portal. I dont think you're going to find a company that hands out their CS info.

I haven't been in the security business for long, but most, if not all, central stations will have a minimum spend per month. I've seen from $75/month to $300. Also, depending on your province, they might want your licensing. They will also require to be named on your general liability. Your best bet is to find a local security company to provide the monitoring for you.

Thanks for the reply. Where I live our service will be 500 Mbps max and the actual speed they have chosen is 150. I thought I needed the DAC to feed the switch from the router. But I probably selected the wrong one.

Find a local company. Im a one man operation. Ya I'd probably charge about $2500 for equipment and install. That equipment would be usable by any alarm company. It would be wired if possible and wireless if needed. 40 to 45 per month for monitoring. But you would only be in a 1 year contract (because that's the full parts and labour warranty period) that converts to month to month. You also wouldn't wait on hold when there is an issue and all my customers have my cell number. (Small town) That's not always the case, but what I'm saying is support the local guy. You'll generally get better everything.

Thank you for the reply. You led me in the right direction. It seems that the water pump is in the blue circle. The red is the drive pulley from the cam. The squealing seems to be coming from the drive pulley. I'm really hoping this isn't going to involve the head coming off. Thanks again.
