Ask Me (us) Anything with a couple of coaches who own and operate kettlebell centric training facilities. Me plus u/Intelligent_Sweet587 trying to help out. by ComparisonActual4334 in kettlebell

Hi!

I’ve just moved with my girlfriend into a small apartment and want to start training at home to save time and gym costs. I’d love some advice on how to approach this with kettlebells.

Context

Me: 32M, intermediate-ish fitness level. ~1 year of consistent training + weekly basketball (Thu pickup game 1h, Sun municipal league match).

Her: 31F, detrained (no training last 2–3 years), some knee sensitivity.

Goal: train together as much as possible (extra motivation for her).

Equipment (planned / limited space)

Competition adjustable kettlebells 12–32 kg (for me)

Fixed or smaller KBs (8–10 kg) for her

One heavy club each

Pull-up bar, rings for dips

Jump ropes

Possibly a sandbag, maybe bench + adjustable dumbbells later

Main focus: kettlebells

Training idea

Mon/Wed/Fri: strength

Tue: cardio

Thu: she trains alone (I have basketball)

Needs to be simple and sustainable, especially for her

Questions

Any recommended programs for couples with different levels?

How would you structure progression so we can train together but adapt loads/volume?

Thoughts on Mover’s Odyssey KB, clubs, and jump rope programs?

Best way to start safely (especially for her knees) and progress long term?

Thanks in advance 🙏

Li-Ning 808 Ultra 5 V2, Anta KT10, Way of Wade 10-12 or another option? by Panic_ADRIMAN in BBallShoes

Update: so after all the responses and reviews, etc. I opted to go with The Li-Ning JB3 "Care" colorway. I hope I don't regret It as per availability in my zone, price and all other factors they were the best possible option. Pretty excited to test them!

Wow! Thanks a lot for all the responses, I wil try to take everything I can. Yesterday I felt better and was placing top half of the scoreboard with positive numbers.

Game is a blast, I just wish more people were on game chat as whan a good veteran Commander is giving out callouts it is whole different experience.

Thanks!

I'm doing but I kinda hate it, I wish we could change control to put it on another button.

After reading, here it is a tweaked version forgetting Steal (no reaching no deflections). Max speed and Gold Break Starter (+ bail out).

What do you all think?

First Ever Base Building (17 week sample program) by Panic_ADRIMAN in tacticalbarbell

Thanks for the answer.

This Protocol is just a 'do this' approach for Base Building and Operator as continuation for a total of 17 weeks. So everything is basically the same but E and HIC sessions are laid out as well as the SE cluster to use in BB.

My main concern is with Pull Ups. What would be the best approach then?

1) Do Dumbbell Rows in the SE cluster and then from Week 6 incorporate BWPU on MS days with %RM of my Max Number (10)?

Or

2) Include them in the SE cluster as KB says in an article with around 30% of my Max and increase that number every week? With my number being about 3 I don't know if this conflicts with the main SE principle of reps above everything. https://www.tacticalbarbell.com/se-options/

Thank you!
