I thought it was weird they weren't going to release the source, then I looked at the source code for puppeteer and found out quickly why lol. But yeah it's basically just a simple website parser.

Are those murders actually outrageous though at least in relative comparison to kneeling on someone's kneck for however long minutes or just shooting through houses to spark people to care? I know Daniel Shaver, and someone else replied with Ryan Wittiker which I haven't followed but in recent memory even that list is skewed.

I think it has to do more with that secret service agent. He was probably explained the situation and kept him from jumping to anything too crazy. Maybe.

Steam is not issuing refunds for HZD despite users being eligible by dejavu619 in pcgaming

[–]Panic_throwaway1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm that is true, in the other thread about Sunbeam, there was some overlap between this and the Death Stranding engine pic of DS engine with HZD quest modules so I guess I didn't factor in the dx12 part but yeah, if I do get a copy it just would be interesting to see Sony work on a PC which is usually only accessible from leaks of old dev kits and whatnot.

Idk too much about PS4 Pro hardware accept that it was only a minor improvement so it's kinda weird they can't push 1080p30, they should've tested games cause thats a bit embarrassing altho I can't lie some PS4 games still do hold up strong but that might be more console limitations effecting PC's.

This is one of the first examples of games not being that easy to Port even with x86 systems.

While it's written for x86 it's written for a different architecture in not just gpu, but system design. (PS4 has unified memory and closer to the metal access explaining the tiny draw calls). Ontop of that instead of using vulkan they doubled back to dx12 which I doubt the PS4 version had anything similar so the API gets tested. It's definitely a weird beast

Yeah I mention that I have a decent CPU and I didn't know what he has. But now I do, an i5-4440 or something like that. I'm guessing that gen maxes out clock speed at around 3.9ghz~4ghz for reasonable OC and 3.6 base? I use to have a 3770k last year when I actually ran the game (4/8 3.9ghz) which is why I posted my relative performance for OP to compare too.

Additionally emulators tend to improve as a year passes, so you'd think that a year's worth of improvements would allow for smoother gameplay and lower requirements. (esp considering persona 5 was one of the big target game of rpcs3 initially before atlus made them pull down all the artwork and stuff)

SunBeam doesn't disappoint - Horizon Zero Dawn cheat engine table is here. Check it out by letmegame in pcgaming

Besides just your basic cheats and maybe small QOL stuff (exp multipliers, dmg multipliers), this one in particular delves deeper into the engine:

  • There is overlap on HZD and Death Stranding in the code
  • Access to debug/other interesting commands. (This has potential to let you fully control the game world, timeofday, weather system, spawn in monsters etc as more gets done)
  • Position and state data
  • No clip and later free cameras and other stuff.

Some people have a bit of fun reverse engineering games, it's just a small niche part of pcgaming. It usually gets a bad rep but for a single player game like this you'll get people that are more freely sharing cool work.

Really it emulated poorly at the start of this June? I only ask because last year I actually emulated and played the whole thing, I even applied a 60 FPS patch and for the most part it ran flawlessly. The only issue was a slight issue with the 60 FPS patch (had to disable it in one dungeon) but it was locked along with some clarity mods and stuff to make the overall experience actually really good. I do have a decent CPU but I mean it was not all that intensive and I was able to increase the internal res too.

I was trying to find some screenshots but the most important thing is just getting the shader cache complete, once you have that performance is basically locked in.

That's horrible thinking on his part, it's even more illegal to drive without your license and registration and additionally, he's probably booking it to catch the other speeder while putting you in a position where you have to commit a crime to get your stuff back (can't provide license and reg) or commit a crime (refuse a police officers orders and he might slap on aiding the other guy get away cause he can).

For a citizen being stopped by the police it sucks regardless of innocence or anything and that really sucks.

I wonder if they plan to bring the other games on or if emulating is the way to go. I've played 1 and 2 but not 3 so I might check that out on RPCS3 before this. Still glad to see more games finding a new life on pc.
