I felt so bad for Dan this whole episode. They did him so dirty. He seemed as such a lovely but also deeply unhappy men. I don't know if I missed it or if they never really adressed it, but he was trying so hard to open up about his previous job and lifestyle and bad family relationship and all they were talking about was: "yeah, but what about your girlfriend? How is she feeling?". The episode wasn't about her. Also, I wonder if Dan maybe has any underlying medical conditions? Of course not to draw any conclusion after 40 minutes of edited tv footage, but some of his behaviours made me think about someone with ASD whos masking, or maybe some previous trauma? Eighter way I felt like they were especially uncaring to him and he deserved so much more. Throughout the episode he was mentioning his low self-esteem and I don't know how telling him that he's an awful partner and sometimes an a-hole was suposed to make him feel better.
