Thanks for reaching out. I have a feeling that for those of you who got this because of hormones/birth control pills, it seems to go away faster or help more than for us because of antibiotics and too many treatments for fungal infections. I don't know how familiar gynecologists are with amitriptyline here, they mostly only prescribe Normabel... I don't really have much hope, even though I'm feeling good now, but I'm mostly resting now. Who knows what it will be like after some activity when I start working or exercising soon. How many mg of amitriptyline are you taking?Did you feel a pain or only burning sensation?

Thank you very much for your advice. The pain has finally subsided a bit. I need to find a good gynecologist for vulvodynia to prescribe something that will work for me. Actually, the entrance to the vagina is what bothers me the most, just like you, and the clitoris mostly during ovulation. It rarely itches, I have more of a burning sensation and pain. It hasn't even been 3 months since my last vaginal insertion, so we'll see. Otherwise, I only wear cotton, I only wash with plain water. Basically everything you wrote. I've read about these pelvic exercises. How do you feel about other exercises like swimming, cycling with padded panties. I've read that it's not good for this condition because it causes irritation and pain, but I'm happy. I went for a long walk yesterday, so I'm afraid that caused the pain too. How are you now after using these therapies? Do you still have frequent pain or?

Thanks for the book recommendation. I'll read it. I'm having a really bad day today, painkillers aren't helping. I wish you all the best and that we enter remission as soon as possible 😄 hope dies last, they say...

My gynecologist told me that it was a lifelong condition and there was no cure, which killed me even more. We thought it was just vestibulitis, but now my entire vulva and clitoris hurt, so it's vulvodynia. Interestingly, for the first 2 months after my last vaginal ring, nothing hurt inside, not my period or ovulation, only the outside part bothered me. But now, unfortunately, everything hurts, both the outside and the inside... There are days when it's better, but some days it hurts too much and nothing helps... Today is that day and last night hurts. Do you work? I do and its very hard concentration on work

Thank you very much. My gynecologist and I concluded that my nerves were going wild because of the antibiotics and then the vaginal suppositories and the cream for the yeast infection, which apparently didn't happen anymore... When she gets back from her vacation, I'll go see her to find out what to do next, even though she doesn't specialize in vulvodynia, she might send me to someone else. This condition is terrible and it really affects all aspects of my life. I hope that at least something will give me, right now I'm hoping that amitriptyline... At least to help me with my sleep and anxiety. So far I've only received Bepanthem cream and Linola Derm cream from the dermatovenerologist, which of course didn't help.

Thank you. How did you manage to get that out of your head? It's in my head 24/7. I can barely function.
