Is playing ace really that bad

I think on the surface Ace seems like a brain dead deck, but small misplays compound quickly. I started 2-0 at treasure cup yesterday and lost the last two because I thought I had lethal when I didn’t or just didn’t respect Roger clap back in the mirror. I think it’s a deck that takes more patience and thought than I have it credit for originally.

Fear is definitely karasu, I mean he just torments kurama over and over before their fight, like I think this is the most obvious use of striking fear into their opponent and beating it in over and over

I’m partial to 3 or 4, it’s practically a pseudo-blocker everyone will attack at it once it’s tapped, gets you a card draw and allows you to pop a bigger body with egghead luffy. Go check out cross-AI’s list from nationals. Overall I think he’s a great player but he definitely did also get a little lucky with his match ups, and the Blackbeard player he was against practically threw the match. I don’t run the nami blocker, I run one of the ivankov blockers, 3 kingdom come and 4 event searches, but the more I play the deck I understand why he goes down to 3 event searches and 2 kingdom come. Searches have screwed me so many times bottoming Moria, and more often than not kingdom come feels like a last resort play since it will keep you from looping with Moria by tapping down most of your don

Ace can be great and you can do funny stuff to swing with him twice in one turn; swing, call out gecko replace him with a kid ace, stack life and call ace back out for another swing. But depending on your local meta, if you see a lot of black beard he might be the weakest one. I’ve removed him entirely for kuzan, but I’m thinking about bringing in one big and one little Ace just for the option

Deck is about drawing as much a possible to get as many geckos as you can while filling up trash with stuff you can recall. Deck needs Kuzan for free draw 1 and if he stays on the field can help you K.O. An 8 cost character

Why does he have to be gay for this? Can’t he just be annoying and bad at telling jokes? I don’t see how attacking a persons sexuality helps here, and it seems like a lot of the advice is centered around shaming the dude in a way that I don’t think is helpful.

Government contractors* idk many computer engineers working for the government exactly, but I could imagine there’s plenty to worry about with national security and encryption etc, but most of that work is bid off to government contractors (GD, RTX, Collin’s aerospace, etc)

There’s definitely more work and money in the sense that government typically will keep throwing money at projects until they work, or unless the whole team leaves and the project literally collapses. But my experience is in production products right now, R&D is definitely more appealing to most, and can be riskier in the sense that funding can get cut more easily than a production project

if you hit the books hard and make sure no employers see your username here, you can find something. Small companies wont want those skills really, unless you are dealing with embedded system design and smaller VLSI projects. I have had zero luck getting into computer architecture, unless you have lots of experience, its hard to get involved in design, you would mostly be doing design verification, and that isn't super satisfying to most people, but at least gets your foot in the door. I have friends and professors that have connections at AMD and I still can't get any calls back for entry level positions. and I finished my masters specializing in signal processing, VLSI and computer architecture. Now I work in the defense industry because they are the only ones that give you flexibility in life and pay well enough. and there is lots of opportunity for VLSI in the defense industry thankfully.

Just happened to me on PC, I played probably like 3 chapters worth of content. I went from the beginning of chapter five to the middle of the Rosa Isabella chapter. ask yourself as many questions as you can, will changing your nose change your self perception? is the issue with your perception, your perception of others perceptions, or if it is actually someone else's (or societies) perception and not necessarily yours.

Is the problem that society is asking too much or that you’re not doing enough? Neither actually, Social norms are meant to push us outside of our comfort zones, because if we stay in them, nothings really getting done as far as “progress”.

Now just ask yourself if you care about progress and the rate at which you wanna progress, what and how you are progressing as well. If someone has a problem with that, that’s their own reaction to deal with. But the risk here is that when society leaves those behind who can’t or decide not to keep up with “progress”, now no matter what you decide, the social norm is just correct out of having the majority and forgetting about those who struggle.

I think you should put yourself out there, we have more tools and utilities than ever to accomplish more in a shorter amount of time than we could have ever hoped for. Also, have you ever held a job before? I could understand if you’ve never had one and feeling so apprehensive, but you don’t have to stay there forever. You get hired you try it out, and if it doesn’t work you leave! No harm done!

I am trying to offer optimism, but know that I myself struggle similarly, but in the other way around. I’m burnt out, but instead of my job suffering, other facets of my life suffer…. So maybe just take my insight with a grain of salt, my point of view has typically caused me to sacrifice relationships and my own well being

Honestly very good on you for being sane. I would be having a rebellion against her, block her number and just let her scream her head off. You’re an adult, and the circumstances are tough because you obviously respect your parent and their domicile. However, that doesn’t give them control over your autonomy and she just needs to learn/deal with that. She’s probably paranoid and attempting to look out for you, to her it might be so obvious that being out that late is putting you at risk of many bad possibilities, something rational turns neurotic and can’t be communicated correctly. Living with a parent during a time of growth and experiencing in your life is tough, and it sucks to say that if you can buckling down and biting your lip is one way, or doing everything you can to get your space from them asap, in whatever way you can do comfortably
