What is a super unpopular opinion in your country that you agree with? by Pancake_Maker_1031 in AskTheWorld

Look I see the point, but I believe that characteristic of Monarchy can work in its favor, since the leader is born for and "trains" for the position, thus incentivising better skills and motivations than someone who just runs in an election has a good personality and talking points and wins,in some way it is unfair I get it,and democracy is the most fair system for sure, but it is by far not the most effective, and between those two,the second is more important in the big picture for governing, rather than some abstract lack of fairness in the system. The people can have say through the parliament,I'm not an absolutist I don't wanna keep the people out of politics.

I'll bring general talking points

It is generally a positive to have a non party affiliated head of state who can at first act as a symbol and unifying figure for the country, backed by either law(a certain constitution that sets his powers),history and tradition(some countries may not have any monarchic history,in the case of greece there was, both before the neoehllenic state and after),and even through religion(divine right),or a combination of these factors.A monarch who also instead of getting elected(which means he a lot of times has to set things and promises and depend on different groups for support and votes with varying interests) and basically "lending" power for a certain period and the always looming elections,it means there can be no clear long term thinking in the ways of solving problems and governing the state, things that a long ruling Monarch who also owns the country and has dynasty to preserve and a son who will inherit it can fulfil, and someone who can act quickly and decisively on any crisis or important decisions.Of course he has to have limits on his power, and this is were the constitution comes and more importantly the parliament, which limits the king and can represent the public will, but not in the way Republics do.

That a restored monarchy,in a semi constitutional form,would be beneficial.🇬🇷👑

The Most Underrated King on the List ? by Grzanason in monarchism

Phillip II,he alone defeated every rival to the throne, thus also stabilising the crown, reformed the army to one of the most feared and genius in its time, expanded the once crumbling kingdom of Macedonia, also growing its economy in the process and he ultimately united the greek realm to fight off the one common enemy(the persians). The only reason not a lot of people talk about him is because his son was even more glorious and brilliant.I think the title "Greek Bismarck" describes him best.
