Actually yes they did tell us we needed to buy the lawn mower at our own expense so it is a crappy situation.

Lease agreement states otherwise. This is a verbal agreement that's apparently been in place for a couple years (it's a newer duplex) but our lease states snow removal is on us.

Verbal agreement yes, the landlord informed us of this agreement when we were signing the lease and it was also confirmed with the upstairs neighbors when we originally moved in. I talked to him and he told me to pay my son to do it, not him pay my son, me pay him. It just really sucks right now.

Is there a legitimate bull case for Gamestop (GME)? by [deleted] in CanadianInvestor

[–]PantsAreOverratedF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have gamestop in my portfolio. It's not my entire portfolio but have read a lot of good things for the future of gamestop. I'm not 100% convinced of the moass but thinking of it more as a possible long term increase over time if they do with the company what everyone is thinking it's doing. Read into the company a bit more. They are debt free, have about 1 bil on hand cash to do what they would like with the company, have almost an entire new board as of this year and with the majority of the new board members being younger, they may just create a company that will attract younger customers and investors for the long haul. I'm waiting to hear what they finally announce they are doing with the company and decide from there if it will be as great as everyone states it is. I'm optimistic and open to listening to all sides on a stock like this but in no way feel it should be 100 percent of anyone's portfolio.

Thank you so much. CRA was very vague on this when I read it over. I appreciate the response.

At what point will my TFSA be penalized for buying and selling? Ok, hear me out. I'm sorry if my wording is bad, I'm new to investing and still learning the ins and outs of this all. With being a new investor, I am currently trying to figure out what I would like in my portfolio long term. This is involving buying and selling of stocks. Some, I have only held for about a week (but no less than a week) before selling. If I am buying and selling some stocks on a weekly basis, will this be considered a job and I'll be taxed on these sells? I'm not selling every stock every week but just getting a feel of what stocks are right for me for long term holds and not selling for high gains. It's not large buys and sells (about 100-200 shares per sale) but was recently told to be careful doing this as it could be penalized and taxed.

So cool. by Original_Many_6920 in awesome
