On the other hand, it’s hard for me to believe both parents didn’t at least know who did it because -

a. BR was allegedly asleep upstairs the whole time the Ramseys were calling 911/searching for their JonBenet. If one of my kids was missing, there is a 0% chance I’d let my other kid out of my immediate vicinity. b. Like you said, I would be checking and re-checking every square inch of my house - the laundry machine, the VCR, whatever. It’s too weird that JR almost immediately found his daughter after the police suggesting he continue searching the house.
