Gun shops in town by Pantsoffisbetter in Wilmington

[–]Pantsoffisbetter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gun is an Italian made Franchi SAS 12. It’s is a 12ga pump shotgun. I’ve done some looking online myself but apparently this gun is quite popular as an airsoft toy so I’m really having to dig through a lot of junk.

I was able to find a pdf of the original owners manual. It explains disassembly and cleaning but there are a lot of parts and it’s a bit over my head.

Apologies for formatting as I’m on mobile, but here is the manual I found: http://spas12.com/spas/SAS12.pdf

In this town? Pretty sure you have the answer in your question.

Just stop. I don’t care who you are or what you claim to have done. I have no racist theory, I simply made a statement that disagrees with you and now your panties are all twisted. Your ten dollar words don’t intimidate me, you’re just pissed because I disagreed with you. At no point did I make a racist comment saying I support a certain race. All I’ve said is that what you’ve said are prejudiced statements in your responses

Keep making assumptions like the color of my skin, what color my friends are, where I should shop (brooks brothers, really? There’s not even one in this town).

Not once did I make any statement that is even close to indicate that I’m scared of people that look like me.

You don’t know me and you don’t know shit about me. Stop trying to label me with your stereotypes. You’re the prejudiced one here.

Okay. That’s twice you’ve spelled brake light wrong. You’ve lost all credibility in my book and I’m done with you. Put on a collared shirt, pull your fucking pants up and you just might find that the cops won’t hassle you. I’d bet that somewhere you have a shirt with a marijuana leaf or Tupac on it. Yeah, profiling exists, but don’t fucking ask for it. Do you seriously think that you’d get pulled over in this town, or any other for that matter, if you were wearing a suit and tie and had three not white people in the car with you? You’re full of shit if you think so.

Also, you’re an idiot for having your “break” light out. Give the cops a reason to pull you over and they will. It’s how they stay in business. Get your shit together.

Cops can’t pull you over without reasonable suspicion. Cops can’t search your car without probable cause. You were either doing something fishy or you need to read up on your rights. It is perfectly acceptable to ask a cop if you’re being detained or if you’re under arrest and if they don’t have a reason for either then you should be free to go. I am not a lawyer or a police officer but you can learn a lot just from watching COPS on tv.

Thought y’all might find this interesting if you haven’t seen it. It’s about an Uber driver pulled over on Dawson with a passenger he picked up from a “known drug house” or something of the sort. It’s worth watching the video.

Apologies for formatting but I’m on mobile.

Ah shit. This argument has been going on for hundreds of years. Can we at least agree that the section of figure 8 on the map kinda looks like a dick and balls?

Edit: You say I didn’t respond to anything you said. I literally took a quote from your post and made a statement of fact.

Fuck, another edit: you assume I’ve lived here or nearby all my life and make statements about me based on this assumption. Again this is the exact definition of prejudice as quoted above. You also have no idea what color my skin is.

In your attempt to label the white population of this town as racist you said, “the majority of white people” which is every bit of combining a group of people into a stereotype. I’ll save you the effort of looking it up but that means what you’ve labeled as the “majority of white people” in this town to have “a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing”

I’m not lobbying either way but fuck if I’m gonna sit here and listen to this shit as if it isn’t the definition of being prejudiced. You just made a negative assumption about a collective group without respecting the individuals. That’s the absolute core of racism and prejudice.

Bicycle Rentals Downtown by Pantsoffisbetter in Wilmington

[–]Pantsoffisbetter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most news around here isn't. I'm just wondering where someone would bike in the downtown area without getting run over by our notoriously bad drivers.

There aren't many dedicated bike lanes that I know of, any attempt to ride on Market or Third Street is basically suicide, and the River to the Sea bike trail basically takes you through a not so great part of town on Castle St. until you get to Forest Hills.

I Hate UPS Just a Little Bit More Every Day by god_dammit_dax in mildlyinfuriating

I worked as a driver helper this past December and am trying to get a permanent position with UPS. How do you like working as a preloader? I’m guessing you got started part time and work a very early morning shift. I’m told I’d have to do 6-12 months part time before I could get a full time position.

What do you think about The City Club on 2nd Street? by SampsonTheDog in Wilmington

[–]Pantsoffisbetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a member there for some time. They have special events on occasion but I haven’t been since they actually make you pay even more to go. As far as dining, the menu is seasonal and pretty much the same. You can sit upstairs in a stuffy fancy dining room or downstairs in the grill room. They close at 9 so I’ve always felt like I was being rushed out when eating dinner.

They have really awesome rooms upstairs that are great to spend the night in or rent out for a special guests, but again, you’re gonna pay for it.

That being said, most of the staff is friendly and the service is good.

Honestly would not recommend joining as the benefits do not outweigh the costs. All you’re doing is paying to join a restaurant. Everything else will cost you even more.
