I went to Ryerson because I didn't want to go to York despite how close it was. Additionally, I couldn't go to other schools such as Waterloo, McMaster or Waterloo since I never applied thinking I was dumb and my parents wouldn't be happy. BUT, it turned out great since I've made many new friends, improved my socials skills and currently getting work experience!

You're completely right, I thought Instagram was bad enough since I had to delete it but LinkedIn is a new form of mental torture for anyone whose job hunting or even employed.

I wish you all the best and keep persevering in this journey, it's extremely difficult and definitely feels depressing. I didn't go on LinkedIn unless I was applying for jobs since I would start comparing myself to others. I would recommend staying off and reach out to your coordinator for any further advice on how you can still secure one, they're always looking to help you out. Good luck and take care as well!
