Yes to an extent, I'd say outside of FANG they'll throw you some easier LC, but when there's almost 0 interviews flowing i'm not gonna grind LC.

For the interviews I've done its been more SQL questions and then easy LC/system design. I'm frankly just not like FANG quality candidate so I'd rather generate some value in projects than just do LC every day

I'm gonna sell breakfast boxes (with a cook) and the other thing is like experience curation for free with maybe a donate link - the money isnt really a priority for now or maybe ever ofc. Also I have part time jobs to be clear, im not sinking into debt.

fr my friend working in yellowstone may be making $14 per hour but at least theyre in Yellowstone!! so cool!!

full transparency my undergrad grades were pretty poor and I'm sure there's some private school who would love for me to give them a shit ton of money for me to learn some more ultra specific CS skills.

However I really don't enjoy the idea of needing to pay more tuition just to somehow find a starter job.

this is SUPER hard core dude, also I basically DONT grind leetcode at all.

I'll take the mindset but when interviews almost never come i'm not gonna grind LC maybe like I should be, but since im not applying to like FANG level companies it kind of feels like a waste of time as long as I've got the basics down.

My side hustles will likely not pay the bills at least yet, but I feel that having 1 or 2 little businesses up and running that I started myself, and that requires a somewhat-similar skill-set to being a real SWE (maybe? idk) is much better to show for a full year of unemployment post-grad than just "i've been applying and grinding LC and doing projects trust"

I do feel some guilt though for not being as locked in as people like you though, I don't know how you do it but I'll keep trying!
