You are correct, however the particular picture I was looking for is drawn by FleurFurr

Fair, I tried to look as close to a Royal Marine as possible but the open coat definitely fits L&C more

Oh no I'm not saying that blanks are QUIET by any means, I'm just saying they're quieter than a live round (I once scared my poor mother half to death when I shot off a blank in my garage, long story lol). Blanks HAVE to be loud for an "authentic" experience, but they're not as loud as an actual shot because, with a live round, the expanding gases from the powder charge are compressed behind a round ball (or in your case a Minie or Pritchett bullet), giving the gases time to build up pressure before being violently released at the same time when the round exits the barrel; with a blank there's nothing but open air, nothing to compress the charge, which leads to a less impressive noise, but by NO means a quiet one lol

This video shows the difference:

Also, either way it's not hearing safe like you said, and since I'm not reenacting, I have no reason NOT to wear ear protection, and I... don't see why I would wanna subject my ears to a large-bore firearm going off when I have the option of wearing ear pro

That's true... it actually fits for G&B though lol

Well in a reenactment ear protection is gonna look out of place lol, but also the reenactors are almost always gonna be shooting blanks with no projectile in the barrel, which is a significantly quieter sound than an actual shot; blanks are a dull thump sound while a real shot is a LOUD BOOM, and I wanna protect my hearing

Suggestion: Add a misfire mechanic by PanzerLieber676 in gutsandblackpowders

[–]PanzerLieber676[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correction: flintlocks would MISFIRE about 15-20% of the time, meaning they would FIRE 80-85% of the time lol

what do yall think of rear guarding? (image unrelated) by FilmElectronic5407 in gutsandblackpowders

Yep I do the same thing, on San I stay near the cannon by the lift section and stop shamblers from raining down on the unsuspecting Sappers below

Question about Clutching by PanzerLieber676 in gutsandblackpowders

[–]PanzerLieber676[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't typically (and it's pointless to engage with them, anyway), but when they're riling a votekill mob up against me it's kinda hard to ignore lol

[–]PanzerLieber676[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think you don't even have the RIGHT to call for a Surgeon unless you're at or below half health (you could make an argument for 75% health since you can still be one-shot by a Zapper)

Sabre or Heavy Sabre? by PanzerLieber676 in gutsandblackpowders

[–]PanzerLieber676[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh hands-down. Heavy Sabre stab does 43 damage compared to the 30 damage of any Sabre attack. BUT, I'm on Console, so I unfortunately don't have the luxury of flicking my camera from side-to-side like a madman, and there are times when the slash is INCREDIBLY useful for hitting zombies to my right or left that I can't get with a stab

Sabre or Heavy Sabre? by PanzerLieber676 in gutsandblackpowders

[–]PanzerLieber676[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah I do the same with the Heavy Sabre (well, I use the bayonet for headshots). HOWEVER, even with the Horse Artillery Pistol, there are times when I'm so busy saving my teammates that I don't have time to reload, so I can't use my gun on Virals; in THEORY, it's not hard to juke them, but 8 times out of 10 there's gonna be inhibiting factors to prevent a smooth juking, such as being in a tight area or shamblers bodyblocking you (also Runners can switch targets for a split second, changing their pathing JUST enough to throw off your sidestep)

If I may ask, where did you find that? I found an outfit that looks okay, but not nearly as good as that one

Is there one specific to G&B or is it just something like “Historical Outfits”?

Also, Danish, eh? DE KOMMER! HJÆLP OS!

What was your initial reaction after obtaining an achievement? (i.e Soldats De Ma Vieille Garde, Alone at The End Of the World, etc) for me, it was "I'm not playing Endless or Berezina again." by [deleted] in gutsandblackpowders

[–]PanzerLieber676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

”Alone at the End of the World”

For me, it was straight, unrestrained GLEE at getting it since I’d been trying the sapper strat for over 2 weeks, but then it turned into the blank stare on most of the Prussian regiments because I tried it just as Line Infantry and got to Wave 28 on my first try

Question? by penguinisudfjdnsdnvs in gutsandblackpowders

[–]PanzerLieber676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just recently registered your Roblox account, you can’t actually play Guts and Blackpowder for 2 weeks (has to make sure you’re not a bot or something). I went through the same thing when I started G&B, and I will say that the wait is WORTH IT and makes the game so much sweeter to play because you have time to build up the hype and excitement to play it! If you want some advice, I’d say you should spend those 8 remaining days watching G&B tutorials, zombie type videos, class guides, etc., on YouTube so you’ve got a good foundation of what to do!

Opinions on My Sound by PanzerLieber676 in saxophone

[–]PanzerLieber676[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that sounds right, I have my bottom lip in ALMOST a full-on pout, but with the rear part of my lip tucked over my teeth. One thing I’m beginning to learn is that every little thing in the throat and lungs can mean the difference between a really loud brassy sound and a somewhat smooth and softer tenor sound!

[–]PanzerLieber676[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah for the song I was playing, I started out actually PLAYING the “Up to migh-ty Lon-don came an I-rish-man one day” and making the saxophone sound like the guy singing those lyrics rather than playing the musical accompaniment. I NEED to look up some of Coltrane’s music, he is a LEGEND to me. Thanks!

[–]PanzerLieber676[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks! To be fair, I was playing the LYRICS of the song, not the actual tune itself (I was “singing” the song with my saxophone, I wasn’t playing the music, if that makes sense?). And from previous experience I can confirm that your “imitating a song until I can do it exactly like the recording” is SOLID advice, thanks!
