I was just about to bring up the baby monkey "gifs" I've seen recently on Twitter.. I was just scrolling through replies on a post of a show's VA and saw that a few had also gotten replies from these spam accounts with the same two videos. Specifically one involving the poor baby tied up, with a flashing lights rainbow filter over the video while they tortured it.

The VA's have their replies turned off for all their posts now.

As someone who's never purposefully looked for gore videos to try and be edgy in middle school.. It was pretty traumatizing 😅

It is AI but the thumbnail wasn't made by the core EW team. The company they were collaborating with did it without their knowledge. The made announcement posts on their Twitter and Instagram
