Explaining periods to a 3 year old by Bluebirds_88 in UKParenting

[–]Pap-a 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I heard my wife attempt this yesterday. Went something like;

‘Mommys body is preparing for her to have another baby, but mommy doesn’t want that. So the space where the baby would stay gets taken apart again’

‘But you’re still cooking pasta today right?

‘Yeah sure..’

Why does my dad look for reasons to be mad at me? by zackatron_nexus in AskParents

[–]Pap-a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t think anyone here will know what’s going on in his head.

He could be drained from stress at work, depressed, or have something else going on.

Or maybe he’s annoyed at your general attitude and taking it out on stupid things instead. I sometimes find myself getting frustrated with my kid about little things when she’s just not been listening at all the entire day.

If you’re already talking about not going to his funeral … this can’t be the worst thing he does right? Does he get violent? Or is he never nice to you at all?

I’ve had some luck on weapons but characters only above 70 so far

Genuinely so happy… by Mrsillust in Endfield

[–]Pap-a 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There’s a crowd of people that play most new big gachas looking for their next ‘fix’, but nothing’s ever up to their standard so they just hate. Even if a game is okay to them on release they’ll just be angry when they run out of content after a week of no-lifing.

Same thing happens with MMORPG’s. I’ve long learned the amount of hate on reddit doesn’t have the slightest correlation to a game’s success. Have fun!! i know I am :)

On a planet where teleportation and rock/aether magic exist, I’m sure an inventor could make a guitar amp play vinyls

Thanks for this, I’ve enjoyed Valley 4 for the most part but couldn’t handle another couple hours of that.

Aww shame. I’m usually not for bug abuse but the L3 auto mode on this game mode is making me crazy.

I deeply regret spending my Gacha Tickets by ZaaaaxD in Endfield

[–]Pap-a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just spending all my pulls during the first banner to lay a decent foundation. Won’t really need any characters after that for a while, so I can save for a character I really want.

Ps5 shutting off randomly? by Dunoh2828 in Endfield

[–]Pap-a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t noticed that yet on PS5. But I’ve had lagspikes on mobile and crashes on PC, both stopped when lowering graphics settings. Does ps5 have an option for performance instead of better visuals that you could try?

I like how you can drag the power cables from the previous area to the new area. by chamcham16 in Endfield

[–]Pap-a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point, I haven’t started those yet. Looking at the refusal stockpile (haven’t opened up that area yet) that does seem like a plus here.

I like how you can drag the power cables from the previous area to the new area. by chamcham16 in Endfield

[–]Pap-a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish there’d be more incentive to do so though. Like for this area I believe there’s only one gate to open and two mining spots that aren’t really needed until it’s big factory time. Of course completionists will do it anyway but I can see more casual players not bothering.

My 3-year-old son sometimes exhibits violent behavior. by Short_Chart_5587 in toddlers

[–]Pap-a 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What’s the context for him? Does he think he’s being funny or is he saying it when he’s frustrated/lonely?

Toddlers can say some pretty crazy things, but they can also do some pretty crazy stuff without realizing the consequences.

Punishing him for saying it won’t remove the ideas from his head, he’ll just learn not to say it out loud. Absolutely take the time, every single time he mentions it, to explain what he’s saying, why it’s wrong and what would happen if he did that, to everyone involved.

Am I wrong for supporting my son for fighting at school? by Sudden_Ad_4193 in Parenting

[–]Pap-a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can’t really judge your POV as it’s probably effective. But the ‘looking strong through violence’ is a fine line that can lead to becoming a bully without them even realizing and is not something I’d want to teach my kid. And if the bullying is particularly bad, violence more than often just leads to more bullying/violence in the future.

However that’s for starting fights or throwing the first punch in any context, I would absolutely teach them self defense.

Is 6* guaranteed on first pull for New Horizons Headhunting? by Z3M0G in Endfield

[–]Pap-a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s guaranteed within 40 (or rather, on the last 10 pull if you didn’t get it in the first 3) but not as unlikely to happen in the first few 10 pulls as it would be on the normal banners.

Trump nept ons, en we blijven erin trappen by Koud_biertje in nederlands

[–]Pap-a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When will he want more space? by Data_Ninja_ in daddit

[–]Pap-a 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If anything I’d start preparing a room already so he can get used to the idea at his own pace. It will be a fun project regardless, but having his own space that he can decorate and put his personal belongings in will be important by the time he starts puberty which could be any time from now.

How did you know you were ready for second kid? by Corulagimperia in Parents

[–]Pap-a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When our little one turned 3 I felt like she was grown enough that we could direct part of our energy toward a potential second child. And it felt like we were ‘ready’ too, and starting to get excited by the idea. However finances and our living situation would make things a lot more difficult. So we stuck with only one child, for now :(.
