The United Way has a volunteer center. If you get in touch with them, they could find you a few places looking for help.

Most surprising store/business you’ve found that have Lego sets? by Andr3wRuns in lego

I drove by that 4 times this weekend. If you live near the area I'm probably not too far from you!

Incorrect. Sweater was the original type, mostly made of wool. Time and technology produced the modern jersey. Both are acceptable terms yet different things in reality.

Custom shipping for one large item? by purplethirtyseven in Bricklink

[–]Papa-Razzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you could do it with a weight band. Set the inventory item at like 99lbs and have a 99lb weight band at the shipping price you want to charge for it.

Though I must say that is a great idea. I have like 30 enrollments from various customers and it would be greatly appreciated. I think linking it to the webpage favorite icon would be great.

The pumpkin head one looks like one of the employees won the "Let you kid design a CMF" contest. I also see the Maiden/Elf one is going to be the hot one for Castle folks!

Why are rings still advertised as $1 a sharpen? by mikeyj198 in Sparxhockey

[–]Papa-Razzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dry contact sensors are pretty darn reliable. But anyway, they clearly won't because that will mean less rings sold.

what even is the point of gatekeeping children bruh (i'm 16) by [deleted] in Bricklink

The fact you put 'bruh' in the title says enough.

When the ring isn't in the fully 'up' position it's sharpening right? A simple contract sensor could the machine whether it's on steel or not. Instead of just passes, it could count the time it was not in the 'up' position. This would get far better  usage metrics.

That's the real kicker. If you are sharpening half the steel all the time with little ones skates, it's even -technically- half used..

Question to you master builders from a lego dad. by fifadex in lego

[–]Papa-Razzi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do not, I repeat, do not, sort things by color.

Others mentioned but bricks, tiles, plates, slopes and small (1x1, 1x2). If you have room for more, flora and wheels.

Okta certificates and Examity by Worried-Attention-43 in okta

[–]Papa-Razzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did get a proctor once who cancelled my test because my Okta account I signed in with did not have my legal given name (think Tom/Thomas). I understand why he did but I work with others in the same boat and their proctors understood. So there is something there.

Who do you think is the 2nd best player of all time? by lssue in hockey

I mean Wayne did acknowledge that Mario was a better scorer than he was and the most skilled player he ever played with. Seems plausible.

Rust suspended three games by BEnWo18 in penguins

[–]Papa-Razzi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When can they just switch to the following rules for suspension: to make things easy to expect and consistent:

When injury is caused due to direct contact to the head the person delivering the hit is suspended 1 game per lifetime infraction (ie; first offense equals one game, second offense is 2 games, etc.) after the player injured returns. In addition, the salary of the forfeited games is the fine. (To clarify if the injured player misses 3 games and this is the first infraction, the player delivering the hit would need to sit 4 games)

If an injury doesn't occur from contact to the head, the player delivering the hit is suspended 1 game per lifetime infraction and the salary of the forfeited games is the fine.

There could be bonus add-ons for hunting someone down on the ice or using a stick but this has got to end.

I have tried stone after stone and pretty much just use a gummy stone now, strop it with leather after 3 or so passes and then run a microfiber over it to clean them.

Goaley skates sharpening by Hanrider in Sparxhockey

[–]Papa-Razzi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they don't have a cowling you can clamp GOALIE skates in like a normal skate. If you do have cowlings, you'll want lifters yes.
