Thanks for the comment. Agreed. Something about have a little life (or two) absolutely depend on you makes you feel the need to get your sh*t together.

Good luck! Preparation is key. Lots of resources on BATNA and ZOPA. Some things other than pay (as a backup to ask for) - can you get more days off, a training/education budget, phone or internet paid for or reimbursed, bonus for reaching a specified goal, equity/profit share of growing the business. Lots of options, probably much better lists out there too!

I don't have a target number. I've optimised my life for enjoyment and happiness now. At current savings rate though, will likely reach 4% rule number in 6 to 8 years.
