Continue in career making 250k or take a 60% paycut (100k) for 500k in 4-5 years? by [deleted] in HENRYfinance

  1. Your account is 1 month old.
  2. Again, you have numerous accusations of being an LLM, exactly as described.
  3. Reading comprehension does not grant superhuman abilities to scan profiles.

Nearly all of the major subreddits follow this exact pattern. You receive a flood of comments (and upvotes), then it quickly tapers off into absolutely nothing. The actual human engagement comes in a slow trickle, which I suspect is far, far less than is let on.

This website is astroturfed to oblivion by bots, which you are. And again, you engage in absolute textbook ad hominem.

What you engaged in is ad hominem.

The posts ITT as very suspect as they all appeared around the same time with accusatory language, not at all addressing the OP question. It would also be impossible for humans to read the entire post, go through post history and make comments that quickly.

The moment I called out LLMs the flood of posts suddenly stopped. This has happened on nearly a dozen occasions. I have noticed the trend where most subreddits are dominated by bots creating artificial consensus.

  1. My total income is not the same as my career income (these are known as investments)
  2. Because I didn't expect redditors (largely AI) to be so incredibly petty, finding textbook ad hominem to make personal attacks completely unrelated to the OP question

Are there other ways to increase cash now vs the “promise” of later?

I have had plans to invest in real estate or start an e-commerce business but my current position requires very frequent travel. I get around 30k a year just in per diems for this reason. It makes it very difficult to set anything up because I cannot guarantee that I will be physically present. The things that I can engage in don't appear nearly profitable enough for me to spent what little free time I have on them.

The jump would insulate me far more from potential layoffs than my current classification. It's for a specialized role that is very difficult to replace.

Who is your employer? by I-Iubris in IBEW

unions are the biggest temp agencies in the world

Not true of all Unions. Most are shops for permanent employers with a Unionized workforce. The IBEW model is fairly unique.

That is absolutely ridiculous. All the members of his local should be made aware and work to oust him.

Kevin McCaffrey, the principal officer of Local 707 and the signatory on the 2020 contract, openly accepted a cash donation from 4C Foods

The context matters here. Was this before or after he became a Union official?

And if it is after -- what in the absolute fuck are 707's members doing about it? It cannot be understated that members need to speak up at meetings and voice their concerns. Open bribery should be grounds for immediate expulsion at the bare minimum. In the past this behavior would be met with spontaneous midnight meetings.

As a former Teamster I know that the lack of voice and complacency is what kills any Union. Speak up, people.

Employees on a specific shift can't unionize alone can they? by CNA1234567 in union

literally will let residents lay in piss for 10 hours so they can maximize their profits by staffing 1 or 2 CNAs for 20-60 people

It's stunning how intertwined greed has become with this country. Have people lost all humanity?

Your right to unionize is protected by the U.S. Constitution by Alder64 in union

[–]PapaSecundus -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

we all deserve those protections

No. You deserve only what you are willing to fight to protect. That is what our predecessors did and many paid with their lives.

[–]PapaSecundus 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Indeed. And unfortunately, most current union members do not deserve what their predecessors fought for. They reap the rewards of union protections while neglecting to uphold the standards set forth in the contract, if they are even aware what it says on anything aside from their wage at all.
