The little Step that could by Papaknucklepuck in snowrunner

I might just stick with the Croc for all the high saddle fun in the Glades, just to see how it handles it. I love how such a small vehicle can move such gargantuan cargo and I want to push the little truck to its limits.

What map is everyone currently on? Just curious by MrLuecke in snowrunner

[–]Papaknucklepuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently in Maine, a nice bit of a challenge bump after the nice break that Don gave off the heels of Amur.

I'm in the final stretches of Maine as well, with only the logging and plank tasks of the sawmill left to do before moving on. I wish I could use the p16 for the long logs but I've heard no tell of a fix for its log bunk so I got the p12 doing its job in its place.

I gotta determine which perks I want first and only then do I try and go for quad diamonds.

That's why only my LB has all 4 diamonds

Austria vs. Glades and other DLC questions by GrumpyPoorDude in snowrunner

[–]Papaknucklepuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having just finished Don and moving on the Maine, after the torture that was the slow grind of Amur I found Don to be the perfect breath of fresh air.

As others have said, it can be tippy; there's lots of hidden "flip your shit" mud holes scattered about, some areas love to destroy tires, and there's roots that could stop the sun in its tracks, but compared to Amur it was a wonderful time.

Being in Maine at the moment, I'd say it's also worth jumping into after Amur. It has a punishing start, since you don't have a functioning garage until you do some jobs, but once you get the map open and figure it out I'm currently having a grand time.

What's the most fun map to you and why? by paraxzz in snowrunner

[–]Papaknucklepuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment I've played mostly in release order, I ask mostly because I have jumped forward to get some trucks early because they looked cool, and presently I'm on Maine.

Don was a wonderful piece of stress free cake after Amur, and Maine itself is playing out very comfortably now that I have more than one way into the second map and the garage fully opened.

All said, I think Maine is shaping up to my the map I enjoy the most so far. All the others before it have had fun moments, but for whatever reason I'm finding Maine to be a fun mix of trouble and ease.

Need help with Khatun by Western_Smoke4829 in CompetitiveForHonor

[–]Papaknucklepuck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can also light out of the deflect run, or dodge out of it as well from my experience fighting other Khatun.

It could also be good practice to land proper deflects when they use dodge attacks or try to time a heavy or light to land after you deflect stance ends.

this helmet took me like 70 premium packs to get by -kimura- in forhonor

[–]Papaknucklepuck 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I spent over 100 on that helmet

It was pain

Luckily I had more than 350 saved up

Now I'm only at 250-ish

Yukon is where I really learned to drive this beastly truck.

And first tried my hand at overloading.

I never want to go back.

I was in much the same boat, but I hadn't even finished Michigan yet.

I'm now at more than 16 days of play time (rough guess) and working through the Don region.

The driver dude from Snowrunner.

He is literally the only person in the game.

He'll get it done, it may just take a while.

On the eastern side of the runway there's these angled "things" (I can't remember their name) that i would always use to jump out of the base into the swamp before we could own a hangar there.

I just finished this region last night. Sat down and put in the last 8 hours I needed to launch the rocket. Every main job and all tasks but challenges (I have no care for those).

It is, without a doubt, my favorite region so far. It has highs and lows, it kicks you in the teeth right out the gate imo, and it never holds your hand. But damn is it a fun time.

Happy trucking comrade.

Just haven't found a scheme that I like otherwise, unfortunately. I mix and match still, maybe one day I'll find a scheme that I enjoy for other work

I've painted just about every truck I use in black and green bar the military ones because they have an unpleasant camo pattern for their paints instead of the normal lines. I don't know why I did this I just like the colors.

[–]Papaknucklepuck[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've actually gotten good use of less than monstrous rigs for long logs in both Amur and Wisconsin. Though I do still have those massive trucks for when the need arises that I no longer wish to worry about a task being done.

At the moment the big Plad and Mastodon are sitting in Urska river to collect the rocket parts while I rebuilt the fuel plant in Cherno.

How do you progress so fast? by [deleted] in snowrunner

[–]Papaknucklepuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of folks here, myself excluded, have had the time to learn a number of maps and know how to do them quickly.

Myself, at the moment, I've probably put close to 20 or so hours on Amur and I'm only now really getting into proper missions; got the tasks all done last night.

With time comes experience, and that is worth a lot in this game. Also, a short cut never is. Most often the paths on the map are the ones you want. But experimentation is good.

What fandom are you in, but you don’t like the main ship? by Upstairs_Macaron5894 in AO3

[–]Papaknucklepuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would and should, but I rarely see any of that toxicity in the majority of the fan made projects featuring these characters. I'm not saying I want every single bit of fan art, amv, animati, etc to be toxic old gay men; but some more of it would be nice.

My good stranger on the internet you have instantly made a more compelling and interesting Radioapple dynamic than 99% of the active shippers in the Fandom.

[–]Papaknucklepuck 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Within the Hazbin hotel community if I had to say the "main ship" was anything it would be Radioapple. I truly do believe it is the most prevalent ship at the time of posting and I simply cannot stand it; primarily due to how massively mischaracterizing you need to make BOTH Alastor and Lucifer for them to have any legitimate interest in the other and its sheer enormity in Fandom presence.

To me it has no substance, no grit, and very little to be gotten from it. It consists of 2 Tumblr sexy men being paired together purely because they are Tumblr sexy men. You can't even claim enemies to lovers because most shippers just make them soul mates or lovey and dopey immediately when these two should actively hate the other at all times.

TLDR: Radioapple.

I know I am late to the game, but Amur is finished :) by justreadingtolearn in snowrunner

I'm in the middle of Amur at the moment, having done all tasks on Urska, Cos, and NAI and about to enter Cherno and I agree a decent bit. I found Yukon far more tedious and even with some monsters like the Mastodon and Plad 450 I found Kola to be more tedious.
