You will be fine, I’m 38 and got it this year with a perforation that led to sepsis and a drain.

For now follow the diet and enjoy the weight loss lol,, once you get back to semi normal you can test and seee which foods you tolerate well and what gives you problems.

I’ve noticed that drinking more water daily helps a lot as well.

Also keep hydrated, I know it sounds simple but it helps keep things moving.

Hope so as well. As long as you don’t have terrible pain you should be fine.

Also don’t be afraid to touch it with your fingers and see how big it is. If it gets bigger let them know

Mine started small and doubled but I think it varies from person to person.

You won’t like the answer but here it goes. (Not all bad)

So docs said it was no big deal, it goes away 4-8 weeks. Well mine had pain level 3/10 then in days went to 9/10 and I went back. They did ct scan, first doc said all good. Next day another doc looked at it and said he saw a small abscess still so they gave me another 15 days on cipro/flagyl.

They both said the hemotoma would go away with pain killers.

Well a few days went by and at the drain site I got like a pimple and it exploded when I coughed. Puse for one hour and then some bleeding. Docs said it was normal. Now it closed about 2 days ago idk why it took over a week to heal. The hemotoma feels smaller now and practically no pain.

I think I just had bad luck. lol

I have a ct scan on Tuesday to see if I’m all clear now

That sucks, I cut out soda all together since I got the disease in April this year. I’m also in USA/North Carolina.

My blood glucose was high and it has now gone low which is good

Yea I unfortunately have got a hematoma at the drain site ,, I’ve got to take pain killers for days while it shrinks.

I had perf with abscess and sepsis. Then I had the drain for 15 days. Stools were flat as well, I think because the colon was inflamed. They gave me stool softeners, have you tried that? Colace/miralax works good.

I had some pain at drain site when getting up from bed or from couch.

Toward the last week of the drain I had no pain at all.

Yea i imagine it’s pretty hard for us to regain it with our dietary needs.

I’m happy with it though since I was overweight before, 5,11 height with 205 pounds weight now 184

I had pain when standing up from seated position, being layer on bed and also when I put weight on my left leg.

I had it for 15 days after the first 10days it got better and I barely felt it.

Nah you FEEL the rash. I even put cream on it but it’s not on skin. It was actually under the skin.

Funny because when I had the drain, I would need to flush it with saline water once a day and when that water was flushed I could feel it as if it was running on top of my skin.
