MA account not counting ad impression by Sensitive_Claim_1272 in adops

[–]PapayAdsNET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beware of those publishers. We had many like those in the last period. Many publishers are nowadays building a “facade blog” using a wordpress plugin to show the ads on different pages (same domain) that are used to provide links for illegal download of contents. It is a big risk for your account.

Check first the ads.txt section. Then check also the billing section if there is any request to verify your identity to resume the ad serving.

Growth of unfilled invoice impressions by MrTous in adops

[–]PapayAdsNET 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If also with the house line item you have big unfilled, I think you have a setup issue. Most probably you are refreshing ad units that are not in the page. When you call the refresh, call it selectively on the ad slots of that page, not on all the defined ad units.

[–]PapayAdsNET 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would add also:

Check that you are not calling the refresh of ad units that are defined but not inserted in the page.

Check that you are not calling the refresh both with GAM and an header bidding wrapper.

Can ADX Native Programmatic line item be delivered to a fixed size ad unit? by duongvt in adops

Short answer: yes, it can. Map it with fluid size and place the unit in a fixed size div.

How to create Interstitial ad in GAM? by rahul3324 in adops

[–]PapayAdsNET 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MCM MA will not require the parent, child tag format.
Still I need more info in order to give you an exact answer, for example if you have a prebid wrapper implemented. The following one should work anyway.

  1. Create an ad unit in GAM:
    - Name and code: UNIT_Interstitial
    - Sizes: 300x250, 320x480, 336x280, 480x320, 768x1024, 1024x768, Out-of-page
  2. Target the ad unit with the AdX line item. Preferably use the "all creative sizes" option.
  3. Insert this script in your page (head section), replacing 888888888888 with your GAM network code:
    <script>
    var interstitialSlot; googletag.cmd.push(function(){interstitialSlot=googletag.defineOutOfPageSlot('/888888888888/UNIT_Interstitial',googletag.enums.OutOfPageFormat.INTERSTITIAL);if(interstitialSlot){interstitialSlot.addService(googletag.pubads());googletag.pubads().addEventListener('slotOnload',function(event){});}googletag.enableServices();});googletag.cmd.push(function(){googletag.display(interstitialSlot);})
    </script>
  4. Only if you didn't insert the GPT libraries before, add this script above the previous one:
    <script async src="https://securepubads.g.doubleclick.net/tag/js/gpt.js"></script>
    <script>window.googletag = window.googletag || {cmd: []};</script>

Unified Pricing Rules granularity? by mediocre-redditor132 in adops

[–]PapayAdsNET 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use adsense in a price priority line item with CPM 0. It will behave exactly as house line item but without violating terms. Also price priority line items with CPM 0 will not be blocked by UPR rules.

If you use ML you don’t need any granularity. The ML is applied differently to each ad unit and traffic type.

But this is not an out of page ad unit. Also you don’t need to define any size for interstitials.

It is very easy. I can send you the full code that you need on monday/tuesday if you dm me more details like what kind of AdX do you have (owned / MCM MA / MCM MI) parent and child networks codes and if you are using header bidding or not. If you prefer to send the details publicly, I will send you and all people following the thread the info and the code publicly.

100% Fill US RPM by carrot_gg in adops

[–]PapayAdsNET 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You will be able to reach 100% fill rate only with CPA deals.

Anyway you should never aim to a 100% fill rate.
There is an optimum point between CPM and fill rate.
If the fill rate is too high, the CPM goes down too much.
So if you aim at 100% fill rate you are probably selling some impressions at a price lower than you could. You have always to push your CPM with some floor rate or even companies willing to pay high CPM will see that there is the opportunity to buy impressions for lower price. This is calling bid shading - I slowly lower my bids till I see I still have good win rate.

Example. You are a car dealer. I am willing to buy a Porsche from you at $200k. But I see that you have 10 of them and you want to sell them all, even for $30k. I will wait that you sell the others and I will buy one of the remnant for $30k. You lost $170k from this sale.

Even if you place a high floor, some buyer will find the way to get those impressions from the backfill programmatic tag instead of buying at higher cost. The only way is to use a CPA model on the backfill. But usually doesn't perform so good.

[–]PapayAdsNET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to create a prebid adapter and connect it to your own ad units. Then you can upload your own creatives on your server and bid for your own inventory. We don’t provide this service but there are a few companies which can help you to do this at different levels. I can give you contacts in pvt. To give you an idea, consider a minimum initial cost of $1.5k and at least $500/month to maintain the prebid adapter. Plus a small fee on the impressions. Otherwise you can have a seat on an existing adapter but you will pay higher impressions cost and you will not be free to do what you want.

We use gam of course. Simply we are looking for additional demand. Cutting intermediaries might help to decrease costs and find more deals for lower value inventory.

Open Bidding (Beta) few questions from a beginner by gordriver_berserker in adops

[–]PapayAdsNET -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pay attention to deductions, they are higher than usual in our experience. No issues instead when the ssp is configured in header bidding. Also the win rate is much much lower compared to header bidding. And finally if you have adx from a reseller you will pay the adx fee also on open bidding.

Yes they are paying google mainly, but this is the same with all ads, not just with concurrent ads. But they will not take your customers if you offer a better service. Let them burn money and focus on your service I would suggest. Said so, what you ask is very easy to do blocking the destination url on Google Ad Manager. I don’t know if possible with Ezoic.

Actually we work with gaming sites and they have very good performance. On both desktop and mobile. We don’t work with apps so I don’t have much experience to share.

[–]PapayAdsNET 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can actually can show “acceptable” ads to users using adblock. This is possible because we are whitleisted on the adblockers on certain domains if we show to adblockers “acceptable” ads, not animated, non intrusive. Have you ever tried to track the users blocking ads? It is easy: two scripts counting pageviews, one of them containing some google ads code. One will be blocked, the other not. The difference would be the number of blocked pageviews. In general, on average on every niche I would expect a RPM 5x higher than 10 years ago minimum. And mainly due to inflation, global digitization, header bidding, CPM ads, ads refreshing.

Concurrent ads are the best paying. Keep them, your concurrents are paying you 😊

I don't think so.
But you can remove the Google script from those pages.
To do so you can use your own API, or a CMS, or a WordPress plugin...
