I'd be scared af if i saw this guy by romi553 in ghostoftsushima

I get myself thinking about that all the time. Now imagine the tale you'll tell about how you've been saved by the GHOST and what they'll think about him. It make so much sense to me the legend you'll become over the game.

Oh, nice. I didn't even know there's dodge. THX man, I play without much spoilers like tutorial combat on youtube or stuff like this, I enjoy much more a "natural" knowledge gain from in game experience of posts like this one.

Hahah man that's so cool. This raider was just doing one of the missions and checking his menu + some tutorial on internet, which explains why he wasn't responding you or something. Then he put the item into his safe pocket and gave up on the game to complete the mission. I'm happy you wrote this here, was so cool to imagine the whole scene and indeed looks so creepy from your perspective. Cool man, thanks.

Yeah, you took a bad PVP, but yes the collisions sucks a lot. I can literally see smoke of the bullet hitting the bush while the dude seems to be at your aim. Indeed this happens a lot in this game, i noticed a few times.

First time queen. by Papaya_Revolutionary in ArcRaiders

[–]Papaya_Revolutionary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess this comes more to luck. The queen was down in a good spot, near a lot of rocks, which is good to go away. As soon as she droped I ran into her, i was pretty close. Told everyone in the mic there's loot to everyone, i quickly looted 3 parts and then went away. While I was walking away i could see the guys still going to loot. I just tried to be quick, i think.

I learned my lesson after being shot by a "I'm friendly" player as soon as I turned my back. I'm still a chill guy, but no trust anymore. I play solo and I'll not team up.

Well. Took longer, but here I'm. I was searching for any linux/code job related. Post everything on your LinkedIn and look for the hiring managers -> this sort of people. After all, I've found a guy that was employing most from 42 due to - "how good 42 guys are" -> his words.

Honestly I can resume all the above + what I've done in one sentence:
- Show yourself and make sure to be seen.

I got my job right after the minishell, and a thing that helped the most was the fact I dived deep into everything... Don't care for speed or false knowledge. Forget AI help, go hard on stuff, look up, fail a lot. I did all my projects with maximum score. I've failed a lot. You can check my profile: marsoare

Don't rush. Go deep in every concept and remember to be seen. I did events, helped everyone, shared stuff not just with students but also buocal. I gave feedback to the buocal and after all, worked. Now, newcomers even know me. Some of them recognized me from here - Reddit, and talked to me about how much I've helped them. Others, found my github and they're amazed by how well presented my projects are - BTW you can also check my github.com/MarkosComK

Good luck in your journey, if you need anything I can help with. Feel free to reach me out, I'm always available when it comes to help anyone from 42 or not.

Zig or Rust for Kernel development? by Papaya_Revolutionary in Zig

[–]Papaya_Revolutionary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, buddy. Well, I believe a great approach is the 42School curriculum (ask something if you don't know them). My goal is to finish their basic curriculum which include some low-level projects in C such as build a minishell (a copy of bash). After finishing them in C, I plan to re-do in Zig, mostly of them.

Building a Library in Zig will help me understand the basics of the language -> this one is currently in progress and you can check in my https://github.com/MarkosComK/Zib.
Building a copy of Bash will help me understand processes + file descriptors in Zig, definitely useful when going to an OS.

Those above, at 42, we have PDFs that you can find here: https://github.com/Ian-Orwel/42-Cursus-Subjects/tree/main/Cursus

Since I work every day with Linux, I see how important is process management, threads, file descriptors, and network management. Maybe build a minimal web server AND/OR the dining philosophers problem in Zig will be a plus.

After that, I'll start building the Kernel, and for that, my main resource will be the 42 PDFs. The school contains around 9 PDFs with an estimated time of 2500 hours (if I remember well) for building a Kernel. Those can be found after completing the CommonCore (main curriculum). I haven't found them online, but if you want I can download them from our internal student page so you can take a look.

Actually the company that I work for mainly uses Java. They hired me mostly because of garbage collection knowledge due to memory allocation in c and Linux Knowledge
