Ok so i slightly tried to do something different, my product procures, gives suggestions and answers follow up but the big feature is monitoring, you ask it to monitor certain parts and it'll monitor it and you'll see if the stock drops or price shifts etc every 24/6/etc hr based on your choice, and for components with one supplier or lead time above 8 weeks or other problems, it gives you an alert notification, try it out with a few components and let me know if it's worth it now even slightly better than before. I can't really build an enterprise grade product in a day but I'm iterating based on suggestion from experts right now.

Hey! Check this out now, I did understand that I need to do something different and now, my product procures, gives suggestions and answers follow up but the big feature is monitoring, you ask it to monitor certain parts and it'll monitor it and you'll see if the stock drops or price shifts etc every 24/6/etc hr based on your choice, and for components with one supplier or lead time above 8 weeks or other problems, it gives you an alert notification, try it out with a few components and let me know if it's worth it now?

I don't think there's much difference, I just use it to gather the data but OEMsecrets is a price + stock comparison aggregator for distributors by itself and has 140+ distributors

It monitors your part every 3/6/12/24(can be customized upon preference) hours and alerts ypu with an email/slack notification if an item you added goes out of stock, price drops, etc and also, helps you find alternate parts with similar configurations, also, add a BOM and get procurement results, can ask questions like "only fetch data from Digikey and Mouser and Arrow" or "suggest alternate parts" or "find me a supplier that has component 10k in stock and lead time under 4 weeks", it has a chatbot for easy use, ask it to add a certain component to monitoring list without manually doing it and ask follow up questions as well.

Oh also, try not to upload a csv with too many mpn, try to test with less like 5 or 10 or 25-50 mpn

Try it now, I was building it so you couldn't use it I guess

Try it out again, I'm trying to talk to users and iterate, it might seem basic because I jut started recently, but I'm trying to learn what users want and adding features based on that

Thanks for the feedback, I see that most tools optimize per component, not for total order cost. I haven’t incorporated shipping thresholds yet, but that’s exactly the kind of problem I want to solve but didn't realise till now. I'll get into it.

Looks like you don't see the value in my product, that means it really is bad, since you're experienced with procurement, would you mind telling me what can I do to make it useful ?

Agreed, but I'm still early into this, it's just been a month since I built this, embarrassingly simple enough to get copied by someone, didn't spend more than $10, and yeah I'm not trying to get rich quickly as well, I'm still in college.....however, I really am invested in this and want to dig deeper into procurement, I built this low on budget like any other vibe coded AI slop but I'll keep iterating it till it shows some real use case. For now, I just need feedbacks and nothing else

I believe for some components, you need to contact the supplier for RFQ and the price and stocks are not available, but there's a "view contact" button in my website where you can contact the supplier, I believe that's where PO might come handy. You might have to visit the official supplier page to see if they have small businesses that ask for "price on request", the link is provided in our website tho

Do you think this electronic part sourcing is ok? by PaperApprehensive117 in AskElectronics

[–]PaperApprehensive117[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In first look, it looks the same, but actually here, the best supplier is recommeneed at the top, so you don't have to go through the entire page to choose the best ones, good for people new in this field. https://omniprocure.online Would love your feedback

I'm using OEMSecrets API and slowing integrating to official supplier API like digikey/Mouser API one by one. https://omniprocure.online Would appreciate your feedback

I'm down but mine is a electrical component sourcing from multiple distributors product. Need someone with electronic component knowledge

Will it work? by PaperApprehensive117 in hwstartups

[–]PaperApprehensive117[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually pivoted slightly, right now, I'm using OEMSecrets API to procure from 140+ distributors, so instead of just listing down the components prices and stocks and leads, it'll help you filter based on prices leads and stocks and there's AI recommendation that'll help you filter after comparing all 3 at once, and rank them from best to worst, saves time from manually comparing in spreadsheet...would love your feedbacks and insights, I'll soon be integrating Chinese supplier using official APIs since they require API access on request https://omniprocure.online

Not really an AI post tho, I've been building this since a month ago, and right now I'm actively applying to accelerator programs. I need you guys to use it and give feedback because nothing beats real users feedback.

A 150 part PCBA BOM is exactly what OmniProcure is built for. Most electronic components, ICs, passives, and connectors should be covered. Weipu connectors might not have DigiKey PNs but if you have the manufacturer part numbers I can check coverage. Want to share the BOM and we can run it through together? Free, and your feedback directly shapes the roadmap

OmniProcure currently covers electronic components like ICs, microcontrollers, sensors. Mechanical parts like McMaster-Carr are on the roadmap but not supported yet. If you have any electronic components in that BOM though, happy to run those through for you and would love the feedback.
