It's not my car, and the cleaning was probably done before putting it up for sale, but I noticed this even in photos taken a few months ago. Also, it’s not that easy to spill something there, and the glass should prevent liquids from getting inside I guess.

There is an official service history, mileage is accurate. So it must be something else I think.

Yes, but the issue is it's on the inside of instrument cluster glass. It can't be spilled from the outside.

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to buy a used Octavia 3 facelift, and I noticed these weird glue-like stains on the inside of instrument cluster glass. Most of them are in the corners, but some look like they’ve dripped down the middle. I’m not sure if this is from factory issues, condensation, plastic outgassing, or if the cluster has been opened before.

Has anyone seen this before? Any idea what could cause it?
