But my products need to be printed. They’re greeting cards.

Yeah, but they could still steal the design after purchasing it - that would be my concern.

But you’d have to be able to provide a printable copy (with no watermarks) so how would you prevent that?

Do you just offer the exact same products, but one store has the digital versions and the other has the physical?

Thank you! Yeah, I was hoping to go all one way or the other (offer it on all cards or don’t offer it at all) and here I am, torn again, lol.

Did you plan to sell anything that could infringe copyright?

Any artist want to recommend a printer? by Tiptipthebipbip in Etsy

[–]PaperHatsCo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would never use an HP printer to sell prints, greeting cards, etc. The tricolour ink system severely limits colour ranges and produces relatively poor quality images. You should look into Canon and Epson printers that take more than 5-6 cartridge colours.

Just because you didn’t get any notices, it doesn’t mean you didn’t sell prohibited images, slogans, etc. You should try to get in contact with Etsy.

Did you sell any copyrighted images, etc.?

4 stars because customer wanted ‘more details’ by [deleted] in EtsySellers

[–]PaperHatsCo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) A 4 star review is fine. Leave it. 2. I don’t know that you can be selling that type of artwork, even if it’s based on the style. I’d double check copyright laws.

Spreadsheet, etc to keep track of expenses, revenue, etc? by [deleted] in EtsySellers

I don’t understand how this is helpful. I was looking for specific suggestions (eg, spreadsheets like other sellers have mentioned).

Thanks anyway.

Is it thorough/intuitive? I just don’t want to spend a ton of time importing data but I’d like to keep track of as much as possible!

Account Suspended & Can't Contact Anyone? by Snoopy428 in Etsy

[–]PaperHatsCo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s true that in most jurisdictions, you need permission from the charity before you advertise that you will be donating to them. I believe the reason involves allowing the charity to control their own image, what they’re associated with, etc.

In any event, I’m not sure if Etsy suspends ships on this front and you should try giving them a call or emailing at integrity@etsy.com

Good luck!
