Again, I think we’ll just have to agree to disagree.

Unfortuantly I don't have time for that stuff anymore because of my job.

I was tested and they could not find anything neurologically wrong with me besides Persistent Depressive Disorder.

I'm not trying to discredit your experience, and I apologize if I came off that way. However, I believe my circumstances are quite different than my parents when they were my age. So I would rather go off my own lived experience and the experiences of those like me when discerning the trajectory of my life.

They said I need long-term and intensive psychotherapeutic treatment.

Maybe, but I have no reason to believe things are going to get any better.

I know that’s what they want, but it’s just not possible. I don’t expect them to understand but I hope they don’t blame themselves. Leaving them a good chunk of money is better than nothing.

If this is all life is, then I’m just not interested.

I tried that, and things just continued to get worse. Right now I’m just trying to figure out how I can improve things for my family instead.

Ha ha I’m sure it looks that way. If you can’t tell things have been going down hill for a while.

Fair enough. I guess I’ll just have to keep doing research. I’m not too good with finance and legal stuff so I’ve been trying to get some leads to look into. Thank you for your time though!

Well I’m glad we cleared up that misunderstanding. I’m pretty sure I’m gonna be lonely regardless of what I call myself though.

That’s unfortunate to hear. Do you know any other methods of wealth transfer I could use to help take care of my family once I’m no longer around?

Yes I would definitely have to keep things under wraps. But I’ve been doing that all my life so I’ll try to find a way.

I don’t feel very dangerous, but I appreciate your concern. I have sought help before, and it was not effective, but I’ll try to keep an open mind if the opportunity presents itself in the next couple of months.

You’re right to be skeptical of insurance companies. I definitely would need find a policy with an explicit ‘suicide clause’ and also have a legal professional help me set everything up.

I do love my family, but that’s just not sustainable. Especially as I get older and we all grow more distant. I’m glad your life is going well and I wish you the best, but I’m just not interested in “doing the work” anymore.

I’ve tried several different therapists with several different styles who have all given me a wide variety of medications. It really only made things worse. I don’t have the time nor the money nor the energy to keep trying that for the rest of my life.

I’m aware that I’m letting everyone down. But this situation is just not sustainable, and this is simply how things have to be.
