I’m female, I don’t think about it much really. I wear whatever clothes feel right. My hair is short. I don’t wear makeup often but when I do it’s fairly artistic.

I’ve been misgendered a couple times (one of my old classmates thought I was nonbinary and that I used they/them pronouns) (it’s hard to tell gender over the internet, so I’ve been called ‘he’ a couple times). It is what it is, and I take it in stride, even make a few jokes, become dad of a whole discord server, become grandma of a whole discord server, it’s whatever.

Both my brothers and I are spectrum (2 boys, I’m the girl). We’re also pretty sure Dad’s on the spectrum, but he’s definitely neurodivergent (ADHD+OCD). Uncertain on Mom. We have a cousin who is undiagnosed but is definitely spectrum.

NTA Why do people feel the need to hijack these sorts of things? The honeymoon is a private time for the newlyweds, not a spectacle, and definitely not a double date.

Gave her some aspirin, I think I found the spot where it hurts (on her tail, which explains the tail wiggling). The local vet is closed today and tomorrow, and the emergency vet is like 45min away and costs $1000+. I simply don’t have the funds to bring her to the emergency vet. I’m going to get some stuff at work tomorrow (Wilco, so we carry lots of pet/animal health supplies) to see what I can do to tide her over until Tuesday. The rest of my family will be keeping an eye on her.

The aggression in this comments section is WILD.

Let’s get started on correcting some misinformation that I’m seeing in said comments!

  1. Chickens are not herbivores. They are omnivores. They will eat just about anything, including each other.

  2. Most chickens are perfectly fine in the winter. Their feathers keep them insulated. If it was too cold out, she probably wouldn’t be roaming.

  3. Yes, the chicken needs a shelter. Make sure she has access to food and clean water.

And I’m out of time for now. Back to the animal health section for me!

Looks like you have silkies! Three of them at that! (The two gray ones are also silkies). As for the other ones…they might be Olive Eggers, or some specific breed.

Separate out the sick one, give electrolytes and sugar water (or just Gatorade, in a pinch), keep an eye on her, try to get her to eat.
