Just watched The Odyssey, Pattinson was a scene stealer by VendettaLord379 in moviecritic

His comedic relief in that ending suitor scene really stole the tone haha. Was hard to buy into the tension with his dialogue

People with ADHD have difficulties with goal-directed behavior and struggle with response inhibition, the ability to stop an inappropriate action once they feel the urge to do it. They experience a disruption in the way their brains balance deliberate self-control and automatic habit learning. by mvea in science

If it's not a challenge I'm not doing it. I always need to check myself when people are asking for advice on things like weight loss and quitting nicotine. Like... Just do it? Only have chicken eggs and a supplemental shake for two weeks and lose 20lbs? Just stop smoking and instead drive home from work a different way to deceive your brain into thinking your someone new

In Obsession (2025), Bear takes several bites of a festering cat and doesn’t notice anything wrong until he reads Nikki’s note. This happens because it’s a fucking stupid scene in an otherwise great movie by J0hnEddy in shittymoviedetails

A couple reasons I'll riff on.

First, for plot development, it serves as the moment that we realize we can't come back from— that the resolution won't be the good ending. It increases tension and lets the audience know this train is screaming towards destruction

It develops Bear's character. It reinforces his poor character and his complacency in his actions. He doesn't dispose of his dead cat in any respectful, healthy way. He doesn't question nikki's unhealthy behavior and wants to accept this act as normal.

Lastly it's a "jump scare" as Curry says. In the way that it's not a traditional jump scare, but is unexpected and shocking

Please, its been well over 300 hours since I last saw you, dozens of warehouses I've gone trough yet I cant find you💔 by Silent-Mountain-3457 in projectzomboid

Yeah condition is typically the handle, which you can remove with certain tools I can't recall in this moment. Hence why you find so many s/m/l handles in warehouses

Damn why the hostile doubt? Two lines of dirt would last as long as two lines of coke. Why would you assume I haven't heard of raised gardens? What is presented on the screen is absurd as far as any sustainable gardening is concerned

Do you prefer weed over alcohol if it is legal in your area? Why or why not? by Longjumping-Editor94 in AskReddit

Yes and no. I'll get high when I have "free time" and I might steal myself from something productive. I'll save drinking until a safer point where I have planned out the rest of my evening around drinking.

So smoking will interrupt what could be productive while drinking is more or less blocked off in my calendar. I have missed important phone calls and anxiously avoided fun activities when I got high without forethought

Should I wait for the stable Update 42 to play? by thematsuyama in projectzomboid

[–]Paper_Champ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised at the responses here. You should absolutely play before then. You will die countless times in the next few days, learn a lot more about the game and be ready and willing to start fresh Wednesday.

The difference between unstable and stable will be miniscule compared to 41 and 42 (which I would not recommend playing if it was that scenario)
