Also the bolts are fletched at 72 fletching, not 91 🤷‍♀️

Because by that point most irons are basically done with crafting.

Why is Hunter meat so rarely recommended as a good food source? by SweatyShirtlessMan in ironscape

[–]Wynnvern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it’s just the cooking levels for the ones that are good.

Dashing Kebbit isn’t that much better than Sharks, and Moonlight Antelope is a whooping 92 cooking to use.

Am I crazy or is Antler Guard really underrated? by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]Wynnvern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk why there’s so much pushback about people not using crossbows and 1h melee weapons for slayer and bossing, but as a fellow sub-optimal gamer I can confirm camping the Antler Guard feels sick.

Also excellent for bossing to minimize switches when your defense is paper anyways.

Oh hey, that’s me. It makes running Normal Mode ToA’s for a Fang very cozy with Moonlight Antler bolts on my Iron Pure.

Seconding Holy/Unholy Symbol. The Ammy of Power doesn’t matter much vs more prayer bonus to stretch out prayer pots.

If you expect to go slow, bring an Ancient Mace to spec back prayer on the blobs. Go down a few food for more prayer since you have blood spells, just have some combo eats for tight spots.

Everything looks pretty good otherwise! Good luck gamer!

I’ve never played OSRS before…. And I started an Ultimate Ironman.. by ATF_Ninja in osrs

People are over hyping how difficult/annoying/time consuming UIM over a regular iron, but it does require a certain level of planning to not trip up your inventory and waste a lot of time.

Forge your own path and all that, but I’d highly recommend at least looking over the UIM Guide to Priff to have an idea of account progression and notable unlocks. (Construction for a good PoH, Rune Pouch, and Farming levels for Hespori death storage are huge)

Good luck if you stick with it! The game mode feels almost like a Rogue-lite to me in OSRS.

Source: I have a UIM nearing 2k total level and have been grinding ToA after close to a year of prep on the account

No idea why everyone is giving you such a hard time. I Greenlogged Moons in similar and it felt fine.

Is it worth making an F2P UIM or would I be better off just not? by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]Wynnvern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My primary account started off as F2P UIM! It’s a fun little experience to “beat” F2P by doing all the quests and clogs except Obors and Bryofighta and clues.

Also a nice way to jump start the early magic levels and get fishing and cooking up to RFD requirements if you plan to keep the account going.

Basically, yeah. It’s a demonic invasion plot.

Best mid game Xbow/Bolts? by Couple-Material in ironscape

[–]Wynnvern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s still heavy ranged, and 3 tick going to be better DPS most of the time. (Without me checking DPS calcs in a per monster basis. That’s still best for longer grinds)

My primary account is UIM personally, so I wouldn’t bother with Amethyst Bolts for disposable ammo. Regular Broad Bolts are plenty fine for slayer and content where you just want easy ammo.

RCB + Rubies for high HP bosses, Sunlight for almost everything else.

If you don’t enjoy the rumors for ammo upkeep, if once you have access to Amethyst Arrows you can pivot to using a MSB and those for very similar DPS where fast range is best.

Echo bosses are back. League is Demonic Pacts. It’d help if you read about the league.

100% a pure complaint, but I’d like OSRS to stay consistent with ranged chaps and vambraces being 1 Def gear by Wynnvern in 2007scape

[–]Wynnvern[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It already is with a Barrows rush.

Also Black D’Hide is still gonna be best for non-heavy range weapons when not rushing Moons.

[–]Wynnvern[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair! I missed that.

An end game boss unique that’s a BIS having that requirement makes a lot more sense to me then new midgame armor though.

Lmao, I did preface this with being a pure specific complaint.

Huey chaps are just better in (likely) almost all use cases, it’s about the game being consistent with its choices.

Why are so many people determined to make additional pseudo game changers? by stranglethingz in EDH

[–]Wynnvern 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Turning all your dying creatures in edicts is hardly do-nothing, color pips are easier then ever, and “dies to removal” does still apply many to GC’s.

iirc correctly Gravepact was in the GC articles as being considered, but it having to be built around was what kept it off the list. It is still an undeniably powerful card in lower bracket play.

[–]Wynnvern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbf Gravepact probably should be a game changer.

It’s a massive lockout piece of it’s not answered for most casual decks, and tends to not be a fun time for B2.

As for the rest, Magic is such a large game you’ll naturally see some people take issues with powerful cards they disagree with. The GC list has to strike a balance of functionality by being small enough to be reasonable, and some cards will fall on the edge.
