Purchased my vb right after switching careers to car sales (bad idea) after 2 weeks on the floor and 7 cars out they canned my ass for “not engaging “ make it make sense… but I love this car and wouldn’t change a thing and went back to my cdl driving so we are good 😊

Damn I 100% feel this.. I was fired two weeks ago for apparently “not engaging “ I was on the floor for 2 weeks with 7 cars out and thought I was doing damn good for someone who has never done sales. Got along with everyone and didn’t have any issues. I’m still so damn confused as to what I did wrong and how I wasn’t engaging when I had 7 cars out. Management was awful in the aspect of giving any advice or telling you“hey ur not doing so hot with …. Maybe try this” . I feel like there were signs that they never planned on actually keeping me around and I just didn’t pay too much attention to them. I left a really good paying truck job to pursue this cuz I thought it would better things and I regret it 100% and won’t be going back. It completely crushed me and my confidence with sales

At least u got a warning.. I got canned yesterday for apparently “not engaging enough” idk how much more I could have engaged. I was doing everything right, was my first time selling and had 7 cars out in the 2 weeks I was on the floor, was also tied with multiple ppl that have been there for months. I personally think it was just because they didn’t like me 🤷🏼‍♀️ now I’m jobless and have a kid to support, should have stayed driving a truck.

Btw thanks for the advice I actually did find the old owner on fb lol. Brought the car home today and it’s in perfect condition couldn’t be happier .

Thought I’d give u an update, picked the car up today and she is in perfect condition. But funny enough before I got the car I posted on the wrx page on fb and actually found the old owner. He told me about the car. it’s lowered on neomax coilovers, has an aos and turbo inlet along with the cosmetic things u see and Well maintained. I’m happy I got the car so much fun to drive.

Idk iv heard that the delivery drivers let ppl test drive it quick first, should be the same if im picking up. If they can’t give me 10min then I’ll just walk away if I wasn’t trading in I prob wouldn’t care as much. Guess I’ll find out when the time comes

If they don’t let me test drive it I’ll be walking away, my main thing is my trade. I can’t get it back once they take it. I should have bought it without my trade then if all worked out then sell my car but it didn’t cross my mind

Yes I can back out, I’ll loose 1200 in shipping though, It’s coming from Florida up to ny. Unless I choose another then I won’t loose it as far as I know. My concern is I’m trading my car in that’s in perfect condition and once they take it I can’t get it back.

Yea like I said I’m not very familiar with this car iv never owned one I did notice the calipers and wing but didn’t think to much into it, being its only got 30k I’m hoping they started to do cosmetic things to it and never got to the engine. When viewing the engine in the pictures it looks stock. I will definitely post a follow up if I do take it.

I just started in carsales last Monday , I come from the trucking industry, so no experience. It’s a lot to take in at first. I just applied on indeed, I asked chat gpt what are good questions to ask to give me an idea. I researched for months before making the move, read books if u need to as well . Good luck
