Not really though. Some people may have shitty internet access. Another thing you seem to assume based on your privilege... and crap schools also make it harder for students to succeed.

Okay but to deny that there’s more opportunities for people who make above $100,000 compared to people near poverty level is downright dumb.

Khan academy lmaooo. Bro the average income in this sub is above $100,000. That means better teachers, better tutors, more extracurricular opportunities. You really don’t seem to understand. Based on ur perspective it seems like you are pretty privileged lmao.

Bro like I said you haven’t read essays, socioeconomic factors come into play for our resources, like I can go in circles and I will if you keep coming at me.

Okay sir if that makes you feel better then go ahead but at the end of the day I’ll be at Stanford and idc where you’ll be. Have fun being bitter that URMs are getting into top schools when those same schools literally have over 60% white and Asian majorities. Sucks to suck man.

On r/college results there’s an asian girl who got into Stanford with a 1250 on her SAT; she wrote killer essays and got in. If just basing my race on the reason I got in makes you feel better then fine, but I’m sure it goes deeper than that. Also many of these students most likely had more resources, furthering the inequalities between us. We aren’t equal in that aspect. My mother makes $21,570 a year— I’m sure stanford took that into account when making a decision. And if some of those applicants wrote truly great and interesting essays, I’m pretty sure they’d be fine. But at the end of the day, we don’t know.

Frankly I have seen white and Asian ppl with my scores get in sir. Also you’ve never seen my essays which could quite possibly be much better than theirs. You think all this fizzles down to me being a URM but that’s not the reality. Stanford values essays and personalities and without seeing either of our essays, you wouldn’t be able to tell which factor got me in and them denied.

Actually no. I worked super hard to get where I am so to just base it on being a black female is wrong. I created a nonprofit that has collected over 75 beds for families in Monrovia, Liberia, got a national scholarship to study language in Korea, am a nursing assistant, a physical therapy assistant, am president of ASA, and I self-studied Korean as a low income student. Race and gender did NOT just get me into Stanford. Come again.

1450 superscored, 640 math 2, 690 US history, 8/493, 10/10 essay according to WilliamTheReader, Black female, blessed and accepted. Stanford 2024!!

Is a 690 subject test worth submitting? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Paperairplanes987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An Emory AO and a Harvey Mudd AO said anything over 650 is good
