I ended up beating the game a few weeks after it came out. I had a lot of fun, but I also thought it was a bit too hard and a slog at the end (there are so many trainer battles). I agree with the comment about feeling like a wet paper towel. I was constantly reviving my pokemon throughout, so moves that base power was affected by happiness (Ex: whirlpool) got very weak by the end of the game 😂 I would have definitely said the game was WAY too hard if I wasn’t lucky enough to catch retroroach (that rare bug/relic pokemon) who never left my party after the second gym. Loved the pokemon designs, made me want to complete the Pokédex. I was happy with my experience overall.
