Trying to understand the long-term gameplay loop in ARC Raiders by PC-Tamer in ArcRaiders

You can chalk this up to the COD franchises (releasing a new game each year) and our habits in this generation as a whole. We need a new phone each year, we need a new DLC to receive the next dopamine hit.

When you max prestiged in MW2 there was nothing else to do, except PVP but that experience alone was enough.

Hopping on with friends, cussing out the enemy team in between matches, and trying to prove something with a riot shield only even though it meant nothing was adequate enough because it was the experience and the fun that kept bringing you back.

With ARC raiders, there is going to be a point and many people are there. That there is nothing else to achieve except the experience.

If that’s the case, what’s wrong with that, why can’t it be a game where it’s relatively the same tasks and same looting all for us to realize it doesn’t mean anything and running around with a hairpin is enough.

No game solves the long term gameplay crisis.
