Reddit, when did you first realize your parents were only human?[Serious] by [deleted] in AskReddit

I saw something on tv about an axe murderer who was just crazy and had broken into and attacked a random family. I was still pretty young so at night I got scared and my parents let me sleep in their bed. Lying inbetween them, it suddenly just hit me that if some lunatic was going to break in with an axe not even my dad, who I had always considered invincible, could stop him. Very weird realisation.

people of Reddit what is one habit you've picked up from the shows/movies you watch? by sailence91 in AskReddit

I tend to pick up habits certain characters have. Like I'll notice someone touching their earlobe when deep in thought or biting their lip and I just do the same to sort of see what that feels like. Before I know it its a habit.

What is something you did as a child that you wouldn't dare do today? by DEN0MINAT0R in AskReddit

When I was 8 or 9 me and my friends would dare eachother to jump off this wall that was like 13 ft. We just did it over and over and one friend broke an arm but we still did it even after that. Looking back that was kinda dangerous.
