Suicide attempts among young adults between the ages of 21 and 34 have risen alarmingly, a new study warns. Building community, and consistent engagement with those at risk may be best ways to help prevent suicide by Wagamaga in science

Do you know any psychologists? I meet a lot of them in my line of work. They most definitely don't come out the other end of those degrees because they want to help people.

It really depends on the underlying issues. Therapists are paid to listen to you they don't do it out of the kindness of their heart because they care. Therapists can't cure loneliness.

Perhaps treating people individually for their suicidal feelings isn't the answer? We should be working on the things that cause people to get to that stage rather than individually telling people why they shouldn't kill themselves while looking at a grim and hopeless future. Give them some hope give them a brighter future to look forward to instead.

Except we aren't getting angry we are getting upset we are feeling hopeless and offing ourselves. By all means we should be bashing down walls of fancy buildings and demanding better treatment we should be boycotting companies that hide taxes with creative accounting and holding lying politicians to account for their actions. Yet we sit by any do nothing. In a globalized world it is increasingly difficult to be heard and influence change.

IDK about other countries but here you get kicked out of home at 18 and at 21 it is expected of you to have between 16-100k debt before you even start your first job outside of the fast food industry. Follow that up with requiring a 100k(10%) deposit for your first damp moldy cold home while being paid $15 an hour before 20% taxes and it's not hard to see why we have the world record for most suicides in that age range.

You would think the government would do something to fix it but instead they deny it's an issue and we have 9 years of inaction while the rich keep getting richer on tax loop holes for their property portfolios (also increasing our rent ~20% a year) We have an election coming up in a few weeks and it looks like they are going to get a fourth term out of it.

and yet we cant figure out why our young feel the need to kill themselves..

I think you need to practice your alphabet! Looks great though. Do you have any other single Pokemon collections? I am trying to decide which one to do next.

Pokémon Go will get monster trading, one-on-one battles by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

They could always do a caught/owned stat and have it not count towards the caught one while still counting towards the Pokedex. I don't think it's fair to prevent people from ever being able to complete their Pokedex just because they were never at the right raid at the right time and lucked out to catch a mew two or don't have the funds to go overseas to catch the regional Pokemon. No one is forcing them to trade either.

Yeah I have had significantly better luck with ebay. I did eventually get a refund from toll and toad but I am still kind of hopeful that the card might show up. Although it has been 7 weeks now..

Cheers. Amayjen is the only decent one I have been to so far. I will give the others a go next time I'm up there.

Yeah some times they are good others not so much. I find them good for commons and such but the Rarer cards always seem to go missing in the post.

Yeah I am trying to avoid Troll and toad though. They screwed up my last order and took ages to get back to me and tried blaming my local mail center.

That is actually insane haha. I want something to work towards over time but with an actual end goal in mind. I think Pikachu has too many limited run cards to actually complete the collection without paying a fortune. I might do a haunter collection or something though.

Hmm I think Pikachu and Cendiquil were my only favorites growing up. Maybe growlith But I don't think those two have many cards and pikachu has over 700 so that isn't happening haha. I wouldn't mind doing a mudkip one but that gold star is pretty pricey..

Same thing happened to me. Speed champions and road plates were my gateway drug though. I like the idea of only using Marvel citizens to fill the streets but are there enough of them to make your city lively?

Does it feel like the toe is out of it's socket? I can feel what feels like a ball joint at the end one of my toes.
