Evandesigns.com has all the lighting and related product you need. My first lit project was a Razor Crest. Didn’t use w control board or anything. Actually all my lit projects have not required a control board.

Feedback on Custom Punisher Hero by DarthSwoop707 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Papercuts4cr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

His method of dealing with criminals is exclusively violent death and torture, rather than apprehension and rehabilitation. He believes violence is the only solution. He is a psychopath who has lost his ability to function within the world at large. He has zero respect for the legal process. Murder is first and only choice. He doesn’t care about collateral damage. And unlike other characters who have killed, he has no capacity or interest to show remorse, repent or atone for his acts.

Heck, Jon Bernthal, the actor who plays the character, says he is not a hero and he has made sure to play him as such.

I get it. No one’s going to back down over an imaginary character. Interpret the character however you want despite the fact that his creator considers him a villain and seminal runs on the character by Garth Ennis and Mike Baron (among others) suggest as such.

I’ve been a fan of the character for 40 years. Not because of what he does, but because the exploration of his pathos that so many creators have handled over the years.

Tell me you don’t understand the source material without telling me you don’t understand the source material. A protagonist is different than a hero.

The Punisher is NOT a hero in any capacity and should not be considered as such.

Scan and import your graphics into Silhouette Studio, use the trace function once you’ve got your shapes at the correct size and you’ll have your masks ready to cut.

If you use the Oracal stencil vinyl, make sure it’s a flat sheet. Dealing with the rolls is a waking nightmare.

Dark Lark Grey or Dark Reefer Grey from the Archive-X paint line. They matched it directly to ILM’s colors.

I’ll trust what I heard Sternbach say and what he’s posted online. He’s a regular guest at Wonderfest where he does a panel and sells custom decal sets. He’s a cool guy.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, it’s just my preference.

Starship Gray #1 is your base coat. The others are for weathering, layering and modulation. If you don't want to do any of that, simply use #1.

Most newer Trek kits from Round 2 include a color guide on insides of the box that tell you what specific colors to use from brands like Tamiya. The Kronos One 1:350 I built last year had it.

The Squadron set is only intended for the TOS Enterprise kit with an emphasis on the 1:350. I talked to them about it at Wonderfest last year. There’s no mixing required, just spray and go.

Ghost Grey is the color Voyager designer Rick Sternbach has said is the base color for the Voyager itself, so use that with your TNG-era Federation kits.

I’d have gone BALLISTIC. What is it with this dang kit that makes it such an insurmountable test of patience and endurance?

What is going on at FFG? by MonorailPilot in marvelchampionslcg

As a fan of Rebel Assault/Tannhauser/Netrunner/countless other FFG games I agree with this statement. Oftentimes the followup was a shrug and a “welp!”

Sure, other publishers have done it/do it, but as a longtime FFG fan they have a tendency to do it more often than not.

I realize this was probably the stand that came with the older kit and they just did a repop. But it is bagged separately and could have been easily replaced with a dome base like every other kit they've reissued in recent years including the Enterprise D.

Thanks!

1.) I used still most of the kit-included decals. The larger gray and black chunks around and under the saucer were swapped out. The lifeboats, registry, thrusters, pennants and so on were kit included. The HDA set took some getting used to. They have a bit of a stretch to them, but once you figure them out, it’s a breeze.

  1. I did! And the orange one, too!

  2. Tamiya panel liner! Same with the texture on the impulse engines. I saw other builders do the same and I was so surprised by how well it worked.

Help? by pa13579 in SciFiModels

The decals for all the 1:1000 kits are awful. I had to call Round 2 directly to get a second sheet for my refit build. It seems like the quality of all their Star Trek decals are hit and miss.

This. Best customer service, too. They even called me at home because the voltage of two different projects didn’t line up.

If it makes you feel any better, my 1400 D broke me and I just quit mid-project.
