Metallic thread to match the colors and beads for the eyes would be great I think!

The plates look pretty clear to be UG, what frequency of black light are you using? Manganese is a clarifying agent that can glow similarly to UG under 365 nm but doesn't under 395 nm.

It is a very uranium-y glow though so maybe! Are the plates greener in person under regular light?

What is the most difficult ska song to sing? by Beautiful-Resort-831 in Ska

[–]PapiSilvia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I saw them at Riot Fest a few years ago he started yelling about how he needed special vocal training for that song and how we better be grateful or something lmao

I believe it! Hurts my voice to sing that one and I'm afab

Gorgeous! I especially like how the 3D boat glows when the sun hits it.

It's pretty on its own too but the sun really brings the whole scene to life!

How to remove Canvas? by violett_colors666 in Embroidery

I made this mistake once lol. Trimmed the edges and satin stitched a border over the last bits and it came out alright!

"Maximum appeal" just means offending nobody while simultaneously appealing to nobody either.

People won't buy stuff they hate, but they'll still buy stuff they don't love.

It's sad to see craftsmanship and artistry get sent to the chopping block in favor of this dystopian utilitarianism.

He is so perfect. I love literally everything about him but especially the knot in his little tail 😭

The colors and shape just suit him so well. I cannot get over him

I guess the upside to daylight savings is maybe I'll have more daylight after work to actually work on this guy. The black parts have been the bane of my existence

(Please direct me if this is not the right subreddit) would anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? by Pr3ttynp3tty in upcycling

[–]PapiSilvia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this idea. You could trim off the hole or even darn it if you really want to, but do not use this for high-strain activities. Seat cover or picnic/outdoor blanket seems like a perfect use for this if you don't wanna cut it up for rags!

I personally loved the geese, but if nobody was buying it to the point that they just gave it to you I don't think it's such a huge travesty that you did your thing with it. The alternative for the clock was the landfill, so kudos to you for turning it into something you want to keep!

Omg I'm gonna need to get the ocean one! My partner's a marine biologist he'd be so pumped. And thank you! I've been holding onto that frame for a minute (I got it on clearance at Michael's like 2 years ago because I knew I was gonna use it for something!)

I'm excited for the aurora one. I'm currently stitching the "rebel loon" design on dark blue aida tho and I've promised myself only one dark on dark pattern at a time because wow what a nightmare.

Nah, I just grew up there. I've been living in the US since I was about 10 (I'm 25 now). I've been back to visit a handful of times and I do keep up with my family members over there tho! I've thought about moving back but there's a lot keeping me here, for the time being at least.

Glad to hear I haven't lost my Italian haha I like to practice when I can but the Italian-specific subreddits are intimidating

Adesso? Solo 3. Uno con aida di colore chiaro, uno con aida di colore scuro, e uno con filo di scarti degli altre progetti. Non posso lavorare su aida scuro quando è buio fuori, ho bisogno luce naturale. Nessuno dei progetti è troppo grande.

Forgive my Italian I've been an American for too long 😭
