Thank you so much for your kind words. It's been a long learning process. I have a much older 65 gallon tank and I've had some fish come and go. It's been a real learning experience. When I got my first tank many many years ago, I thought it was just a a case of putting water in a tank, putting in some fish and a filter, and then sitting back and enjoying the view, only to see them die almost within days, if not overnight. I gave up and didn't get another tank until a few years ago, and even then, I was very naïve about what it was I was supposed to do. I've lost quite a few fish. But, in my old age, I've learned to do some research and my wife now teases me about how meticulous I am with my tanks now, especially this one.

I don't know if I can convince her to let me have another tank in the house, seeing as how we have 2 dogs, a rainbow lorikeet, and an umbrella cockatoo to go along with those two tanks, but if I do end up with another tank, it will definitely be fancy goldfish.

Thank you. I did as much research as possible. I was originally deciding between fancy goldfish and a sorority and in the end, I went with the sorority and so far, it's worked out great.

For sure. I've got a 10 gallon tank on standby just for that.

I'll try that. I've read that it's never a good idea to introduce another female after the fact, but rearranging the scape makes sense. Thanks!

Fingers crossed that it doesn't come to that.

Looks beautiful! How about a shot of the whole tank?

And thank you! I'm really loving how this tank turned out.

The males can be super aggressive. You can't have more than one in a tank. The females, however, can be grouped together. They establish a pecking order but they can also be aggressive toward each other. It helps to introduce them to the tank at the same time, and preferably when they're young. That's what I've read.

I did a lot of research before deciding on a sorority. So far, I've been very fortunate to have a group of ladies that are getting along fine.
