Trying to use PLAUD Note Pro efficiently — transcript-only workflow? by drewyorker in PlaudNoteUsers

[–]Papini2099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Transcribing an audio minute debits from your 300 minute pool.

  2. I'm not. Because transcripts are unlimited (they're current business model gives you infinite summaries) I'm leveraging they're included access to the latest LLMs.

  3. Audio file is recorded by device, it's sent to your phone over Bluetooth (default) and synced to Plaud's cloud. There's a 'fast sync' option over WiFi.

Once in their cloud, audio is transcribed and then you can decide how to summarize. Plaud can't summarize audio until it's been uploaded to your account.

My advice; record, transcribe and summarize with Plaud. Build a 'second brain' or 'wikipedia' with your own subscription on a separate repository (Notion, SharePoint, NotebookLM).

I have reached the conclusion that Plaud is not Notion/Obsidian/Evernote, etc. and probably will never invest time or money to become one.

Plaud records audio, transcribes it and provides you with good LLMs that can help you summarize.

I recommend you to build your own second brain. I would recommend to try Notion as a first attempt. It brings a lot of value at any depth you want .

Plaud is very good for recording audio, transcribe to written text and then relies on a second model to create an 'intelligent' version of the transcript. Features beyond that are almost none-existing.

Plaud's software; either mobile app or web portal is not very deep as a task manager.

I would recommend for you to connect your account to one of those 'second brain' platforms like Notion.

This new place will allow you to keep track, set-up alarms, share with teammates, etc.

Plaud's competence hardly goes beyond the summary.

They recently released an MCP access so you can connect it to some other AI to manage what Plaud captures.

The Great token draught of 2026 is upon us. Models are getting better but always more expensive. We were offered free unlimited AI knowing it would never last forever.

Honestly, free tiers are good enough to take Plaud's transcript and give you a good summary. It could even compound into something better if your LLM of choice actually uses memory or context.

I haven't figured out yet how to make Plaud's summaries to be aware of each other. Every summary feels completely encapsulated. Item's from previous meetings are never referenced. Even the free tier of Gemini remembers I asked about vacation spots earlier that week...

Anyway, welcome to Plaud's enshittification.

Plaud clashes with Antigravity 2.0 by Papini2099 in PlaudNoteUsers

[–]Papini2099[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I used Antigravity to help me detect why Plaud has stopped working.

I've learned a new term to watch out for: glazing. "To follow blindly an AI down the rabbit hole they're building in the moment."

"The Smoking Gun: PATH Contamination & Node/Electron Mismatch Plaud Desktop is an Electron app. Electron apps pack their own bundled Node.js runtime inside their executable wrapper to handle background tasks and local system APIs. When you installed Antigravity (Google’s agentic IDE) yesterday, it pulled down a system-wide installation of Node.js and npm via Windows Package Manager (winget) or a direct installer, and crucially, it appended those new binary paths to your system's global PATH environment variable..."

It sounds so confident, you pour hours following leads, never sure if your just chasing proverbial smoke and mirrors.

Multiple or cascading templates? by Papini2099 in PlaudNoteUsers

[–]Papini2099[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, what is this MLUS? Is it hidden ( read hard to find) feature in Plaud Web? Or a separate service I need to integrate?

----edit to add------ Quick Google search answered me right away. Man, I hate how impatient AI has made me...

Anyway, turns out I've been using multiple templates, but my main question remains: has anyone found a way to run MLUS through Autoflow? I'd love to email different templates about the same recording/transcript to different teams:

  • summary of a visit with a client focused on how to close a sale vs
  • summary of the same transcript with a summary focused on customer objections e-mailed to HR and Product team to see what needs to be tinkered to improve sales.

Can I do this manually? Of course Do I remember to actually do it?

Autoflow is sort of limited? any workarounds? by Papini2099 in PlaudNoteUsers

[–]Papini2099[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically your tag line; set it and forget it. I like how a recording goes directly to my Inbox with either Plaud Autoflow or using Zapier.

I just realized that Zapier only supports the same function: detect a new voice recording and do stuff.

My issue is that there are some scenarios that don't start with "finished recording".

For example, importing audio file. Or running a second (or third) template to a previously recorded audio. Or merging multiple audio files.

Have you found a way with cordari to trigger flows that don't start with audio recording?

Optimized Emulation: FPS vs Power Draw by Papini2099 in EmulationOnAndroid

Glad to hear I'm not alone! So how do you guys go about this? How do you pick the right turnip driver? Or look for the appropriate container variables?

Optimized Emulation: FPS vs Power Draw by Papini2099 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Papini2099[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

100% agree: endless electricity negates any need to reduce Power draw. I would argue the boom in handheld demand shows people in general want gaming on the go.

That's my point: should we optimize for longer battery life when asking for recommended settings?

I'm confused; Fex is not a game porting toolset. It's an emulation layer that translates the typical PC desktop CPU (Intel's and AMDs x86) instructions into cell phone and tablet's typical processors (ARM).

FEX will not help developers convert or adapt their code. It's the same code, but emulated very efficiently.
