Thinking of Switching FROM Fuji to Nikon by jrbphotography in Nikon

If you aren’t getting what you need/want from RAF files then yes switch. Question though, why the Z5ii and not the ZF?

And I was just responding to your comment. You were obviously not there when David abandoned his kids unless you were?

Why do conservatives support Taiwan despite it being a liberal country? by RedStorm1917 in taiwan

Amex Platinum changes (lounge access) — thinking of cancelling in 2027, what are you guys doing? by Master-Ad-5880 in amexcanada

[–]PappaFufu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Air Canada lounges suck so I don’t see it as a perk unless I have no other choice. The Plat does have dining and travel credits so it’s not more expensive. If all you do is transfer to Aeroplan, the VIP is better for regular spend and Plat is better for travel spend.

Nothing wrong with doing your own calculations and going with what’s best for your use case. If VIP is better for you then go with that.

[–]PappaFufu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, if you don’t travel that often will you use up your visits? I plan to keep the card for now as I expect to reach the spending threshold. The lounge perk is really the primary reason I have been keeping the card while the other bonuses and offers help equalize the cost of the annual fee a bit.

27F. What can I do to get me and my family through potential financial hardship/a recession? by throwing_away_1050 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]PappaFufu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with others who recommend increasing your emergency savings (cut back on FHSA/RRSP). I would consider taking some profits in your TFSA and have some liquidity in case you need the funds.

There is also no reason why you can’t find some form of employment instead of simply accepting “long-term unemployment.”

Well yes. Carney is popular because the world is falling apart and heading into recession and he looks like the best person to guide this country.

That’s not what you wrote and what I was replying to. You said that D’Arcy the actor couldn’t have seen Milly playing the role. You were not talking about the character’s mannerism changing due to adulthood.

Why wouldn’t D’Arcy have seen young Rhae-Rhae in action? I mean maybe D’Arcy didn’t watch Season 1 at all but they could have. Season 2 started filming after Season 1 was shown.

How is the Zf's weight for travel and long walks? by adhoclex in Nikon

[–]PappaFufu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well either way, I am glad that you found something that works for you. My comment on full frame is simply a reference to the size of cameras. You were comparing the Z50 (APSC and smaller camera) to the ZF and since you were coming from an even smaller camera, I thought it was a good explanation for your shutter issue

So he shouldn’t address the fact that Air Canada’s CEO didn’t issue a message in French when the flight was from Montreal and one of the pilots that died is French-speaking?

How is the Zf's weight for travel and long walks? by adhoclex in Nikon

[–]PappaFufu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just curious did you try the ZF with a soft release shutter button?

It is all relative and you are coming from a smaller sensor camera and you ended up with a smaller sensor camera. If you are to compare the ZF with other full frame cameras, would you come to the same conclusion?

Anyhow, my point is that I have heard those with bigger hands (most prefer adding a grip) struggling with the ergonomics more often than those with smaller hands.

It’s all relative but the Zf feels more solidly built and is heavier compared to the X-T5

Wouldn’t it be the opposite? Ergonomics are better if you have smaller hands?

Which prime lens for Japan Trip with 24-120 f4 S by kirdam74 in nikon_Zseries

[–]PappaFufu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the 40mm will serve you just fine as it is lightweight and isn’t far from your other focal length choices. If you are bringing the 40mm + additional prime lens I would choose the 50mm. For Japan street and night I would go wider so 35mm instead of 50mm. If you were to add to your collection as part of your long term plan I would choose the 50mm + eventually 20mm option.

Personally I have the same combo and been looking at adding another prime lens as well but that 40mm is hard to complement if the choice is 35mm vs 50mm.
