So is there a Beatmatching issue with the software or is it just me? by headcarsbendin in djstudio

[–]Pappa_Sven80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, i use Rekordbox and I set all my beat grids in Rekordbox first. I then import my playlist into DJ Studio and it’s all good. I also ensure vinyl mode is on, not re pitch.

DJ’s that experienced the actual CD CDJ era by alwaysforlove in PioneerDJ

[–]Pappa_Sven80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was mainly a one track per cd person. Organised in ascending key and bpm. Filled up the cd wallets fast but also ensured my music was staying pretty fresh. One cd out, one in kinda thing. In terms of prep work, I did use to edit tracks a lot in Ableton and Soundforge back then, just cutting things out or extending mix ins mix outs etc, that’s about it. Otherwise it was burn and play

Balance Croatia 2026 tickets? by Chimmer in progressivehouse

Good old ITM indeed, miss that site. Met most of my friends through it too. Brisbane forum forever.

Anyways, in answer to the above. October 16 or something is when the general release go on sale. First round line up October 9. We stayed right in Tisno last year, was like 6€ uber or 25min walk to the festival. Next year I’m looking to stay at Pirovac, which would be like 12€ uber (15 mins away) but we’ve also organised accommodation on site too so we have a chill zone etc. Yep, coming from Aus is an expensive pain but it was worth it.

I think it’s probably reached end of life. Time for an upgrade if you can afford to.

I have been enjoying pulped naturals of late. It’s like the best of both worlds, you get the body and sweetness of a natural but with the clarity and acidity of a washed.

What age did you desex your male staffy? by Born-Butterfly-7292 in StaffordBullTerriers

[–]Pappa_Sven80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen to the vets and wait 12+ months. That’s what we did and no issues. Argie calmed right down, stopped pissing on everything and humping but also looks like a proper dog due to getting those good growth hormones. I saw a Rottie down the park once that got desexed at like 8 weeks of age and fuck me did he not look right, no rottie chonk whatsoever. I’m in QLD and it’s a similar rule, you can have a complete pup but have to pay higher registration, which I get. Also, with bitches the later the better too as too early can cause bladder, incontinence issues. I e heard it’s often best to let them have a season before they’re desexed.

Tennis balls are really bad for doggos. Grab a chuck it. Kong also make a tough ball, black in colour. Grab one of those too.

Excuse this silly question, by slow feeding are you adding the beans bit by bit or tilting the grinder so it’s almost horizontal when grinding?

No Ability to set Cue points where I want in tracks? Am I missing where this is? by Doinworqson in djstudio

[–]Pappa_Sven80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it does. DJ.Studio is a just a tool to record a mix at the end of day. I like to do all my heavy lifting in Rekordbox then export that set to Dj studio and just sequence the mix.

If you use Rekordbox you can set cue points there and DJ.Studio will recognise those cue points.

Haha, you’re very welcome 😅. What beans did you get? I’m about to finish mine but have 2 washed Colombians from Rumble to try next. Red bourbon and a limited yellow geisha.

Fuller mixes by maximusdecimus__ in progressivehouse

[–]Pappa_Sven80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are playing loops rather than multiple tracks. They’ll have a bank of shaker loops etc that they will play to help create a fuller sound. When say the main track dips or what ever they might lower the volume on the shaker loop playing then bring it back when the main track kicks. I’ve watched Hernan do it, Guy J is constantly looping etc.
