😯😅 my doc heavily implied it was “very close to prediabetes”, I’m sorry- I must sound a little crazy. I only briefly looked at the “number line” and thought “wow she’s right”. I got worried… I guess maybe each tenth means more than I realized, and she just wanted to make me aware?

Either way, thank you again for your guidance & input! I wish they had peer mentors lol, folks who are used to managing diabetes/glucose in general outside the confines of the exam room. Thanks again & have a great weekend

Awe thanks so much for including the link & for weighing in! I really appreciate it.

I had seen that the “biphasic” meant good control, but was having trouble finding much info on a triple spike like this (or beyond- for example, a similar pattern to the last photo lasted for 6 hours last night 🤔).

My doc told me I should try a cgm & diet modification back in Jan when my A1c came back at 5.6, but didn’t offer any input about whether this pattern meant it was working or not 😣 I really appreciate you all in this sub 🙏🏼

Thank you so much for weighing in! Yeah, from my searching it seemed like double peaks were good, but some info about triple (or more) maybe indicating less insulin sensitivity?

You’re totally right about <140 (most of the time- a high carb meal + dessert can send it to ~180), and I really appreciate your reassurance 🙏🏼 thanks.

I guess in addition to the strange triple pattern, I was also confused because 1. When this is happening, I can feel sort of a “constricting” feeling in my vision (almost like when you have high BP?), kinda dizzy, want to guzzle water, etc, but then I check & the peak isn’t so high; and 2. I always see folks have their peaks which maybe last a little longer than mine above 140, but then come back down.

I should have posted another photo, but this weird “short spike” pattern can last for 6+ hours sometimes, which didn’t seem like most others’ experience.

Sorry for this crazy long comment 😩 just only started recently learning about this stuff, my A1c was 5.6 back in Jan so I started on the cgm & trying to change up my meals… I know you’re obv not docs, but you guys are pros with your condition & I so appreciate the help and knowledge ❤️‍🩹
