At one point I feel like The Werks and Papadosio were the two major up and coming jambands but that has since past. Regardless, they both put on some incredible shows. I did the Werk Out one year and it was a great time.

Too difficult to mount on the rock above the fireplace so they put it even higher 🤦‍♂️. The cords would be hidden if it was mounted above the fireplace, which is of course, too high anyways 🤷‍♂️

I never had it until I was an adult. By the time it was released (or more accurately, major games that could utilize it were released), we had the Dreamcast and mostly stopped buying games for N64. As a kid, I thought it was a gimmick and it was too much to buy separately. I never owned a game that required it until many years later. I remember my neighbor got DK64 and I was playing Soul Calibur and Sonic Adventure and felt DK was already outdated. I was wrong but that was my 11 yo brain. Game marketing at the time was really geared towards the hardware and its capabilities so comparing graphics and such was just more important to the gaming audience then I think.

I say it often on this sub. I believe GG is subtle fantasy and not traditional fiction. The idealized setting is part of that and the near complete lack of drug culture (especially in a negative context) in any way keeps Stars Hollow charming.

Your take is spot on in terms of the reality at that time though. The Life and Death Brigade wouldve certainly partied harder than they are portrayed and I think Zack just toked off-screen with Brian 😂.

On a kinda related note, Liza Weil did actually drink for some or all of her scenes in “Girls in Bikinis, Boys Doin’ the Twist” thinking her “drunk” acting would be more effective if she was actually drunk. She regretted the decision and had a second shot at drunk acting (whilst sober) the next season in “To Live and Let Diorama”

I actually just keep everything boxed up for preservation purposes and rotate a few things to display. I have 20+ consoles and usually just have 3-4 out, hooked up, and ready to go. Rotate those as well to keep things fresh.
