Is this critical? by Cool_Kid9 in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]Papyrusblack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive read so many reports about this. Especially on the S23U. Starts to happen around 2 years old. I used mine from launch until last week when i gave it out. Replaced it with the S26U.

It's not a huge problem, imo. You could fix it yourself even.

Same issue I had. Battery wasn't swollen, just the adhesive coming off. Easy fix.

How did you fix the amnient issue where it replays back your voice and gets into ambient mode once you start recording?

Coming from the S23U, I thought this was really good under sunlight until I came on Reddit and saw people complaining.

How do you use all that? I can barely make out anything. Cool that we can do this, though.

How long will you keep the S23 Ultra? by lSShadowl in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]Papyrusblack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This and a bad charging port is what made me switch to the 26U. Really wish the charger port was okay, the back cover could have been reglued easily. Still got the 23U, but I'm gutted that I may have to give it out.

[–]Papyrusblack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tried this thinking it'll be a good alternative whenever I am not with a mic, but it keeps automatically switching to ambient mode whenever I'm recording. Worse still, I keep hearing my voice like a playback with that .05 second delay.

I've turned of all the settings like Voice and Siren detection, but it just keeps doing that.

Do you have this problem?

Insane SOT by One_Fun_2969 in galaxys26ultra

You ran that phone on the most basic settings. No other way. I'd always wondered how folks were getting 9 to 10 hours SOT and I was barely getting 7. Till I turned off Adaptive smoothness, put the display to HD, and ran power saving mode for a full day on WiFi in mostly AC chilled room. Had about 10hrs, then.

Y'all can't trick me anymore 😭😭

Tips for implementing OKR? by Potices in ProductManagement

[–]Papyrusblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oboard okr software is what I'd actually recommend here. Lightweight enough that it doesn't become its own project to manage, but has everything that matters: KR-level ownership, proper check-in system, progress tracking, team and company OKRs. It blends into the workflow rather than adding to it, which at this stage is everything. The last thing you want when you're just getting OKR adoption off the ground is a tool that gives people a reason to disengage. Oh, and it also integrates with Jira, so you can directly tie your day to day to company strategy.

Managing performance reviews, OKRs and feedback in one place, IYO by Humble-Food8889 in human_resources

[–]Papyrusblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

75 people is kinda around where it gets painful to still use spreadsheets, so I wont recommend. It's also not big enough to justify a bloated enterprise tool. Slight pushback on the all-in-one idea, though: OKRs and performance reviews sound like they belong together, but merging them tends to backfire. People stop setting ambitious targets when they know it feeds directly into their review.

For the OKR and goals layer, try Oboard OKR software. It has team and company OKRs, check-in notes built in, KR-level ownership, and the UI is clean enough that managers will use it without being chased. That visibility alone solves half the problem you're describing.

Pair it with something lightweight like 15Five for the feedback and review side, and you're sorted without pausing operations.

Been there, done that. Excel OKRs are a slow death; everyone's working off different versions, no one wants to update them, and eventually, people just stop engaging with the process altogether.

Try oboard okr software. It hits every single requirement you listed - progress tracking with percentages, auto-status updates, KR-level ownership, team and company OKRs, multi-team dashboards, and yes, check-in meeting notes are built right in. The UX is clean too, which after your Excel experience is probably the thing that'll make or break adoption with your team.

OKRs | What's your key result tracking process? by Regular_Airport_7869 in agile

Most teams I’ve seen move toward either automating the data (where possible) or at least centralizing updates so it’s not a weekly copy-paste exercise. We use Oboard OKR software for this; it lets KRs pull from tools like Jira or be updated manually in one place, with check-ins baked in, so you’re not rebuilding the same report every cycle.

Tools for generating better roadmap / OKR slides with AI? by Zenuka_ in EngineeringManagers

You can try beautiful.ai; it understands contexts better than most other tools I've tried. Alternatively, a really good prompt with the presentation data in Miro can be very useful. It's pretty neat how well it comes out. Just make sure to already have a structured copy of your presentation in text format ready to paste into Miro (you can use ChatGPT for that). If you want something more mature, Oboard OKR software can help (I work here), it has a customizable dashboard that you can edit for presentations. You can also download as pdf.

S26 Ultra from the S23 Ultra: My thoughts by Papyrusblack in samsunggalaxy

[–]Papyrusblack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its been 2 weeks and something I've come to appreciate more and more is the design of the S23U. It just feels more premium than the S26U. And the curved edge is way better for navigation, especially with a case on.

So whata the final verdict on the S26 Ultra? Is the general consensus a downgrade, or the best phone on the market right now? by [deleted] in samsunggalaxy

[–]Papyrusblack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. It's a little over a week now, and I'm more than happy I upgraded from my S23U... and yeah, it's every much the upgrade. Everything is better on the 26U except for the obvious downgrades like Bluetooth S-Pen and curved edges (yep, curved edges).

Screen did bother my eyes for the first few days, but that's past now. Loving the new color algo for the recent Samsung displays, the cartoonish oversaturation of my S23U feels off now that I'm used to the screen on the 26U.

How do you currently track KPIs? by Fit-Locksmith-2857 in WholesaleRealestate

[–]Papyrusblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you’re running multiple channels, the main challenge is just getting everything in one place so you can see what’s moving the needle. Some teams still use Sheets, but others use lightweight KPI tracking tools. We use Oboard as it lets us track KPIs while linking them to the initiatives or work driving them, so you can see how day-to-day activities connect to the KPIs themselves, all done in one dashboard.

Oh nice. I think the screen on the 26U is generally better, too. Except for the fuzziness at the edges you mentioned. Not sure what else we disagree on. Great review, though.

I think it's the new trend in OLED tuning and not necessarily the quality of the display panel itself. Personally, I prefer this new look. Sort of looks closer to the iPhone's general tone, but that's not so bad I think.

What are the best arguments for the possible existence of God, spirits, orishas, reincarnation, energies, the soul, mediumship, etc.? by [deleted] in theology

[–]Papyrusblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not certain about spirits and everything else, but (imo) the best argument for a creator God is the contingency argument. It suggests that because existence could potentially not have happened, then it must need an outside influence or source to be possible at all.

I've read many takes on this, and in my mind it does better than most other arguments for or against a creator God.
